"We get there for Thanksgiving dinner with high-quality restaurant expectations. My wife chose the Thanksgiving menu with carrot ginger soup, turkey apple cake and I chose Arancini, rib and pumpkin cake. We chose 3 bottles of wine, but none of them was available, and this wine decision process lasted almost 30 minutes. After all, we get 2 glasses of wine and we could drink with our last bites of our appetizers. Then came after a little waiting main courses and we both got the turkey. I said I asked for rib. They went back, I waited again and they brought the rib. That was the process. Portions were humiliated, that's what you expect on a Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, the Brussels sprouts and the cunning potatoes were much too salty, but the overall food was good. The desserts were super delicious. I would have expected a better service at this price. Recommended, but ask your server for less salt!!!"

"Fabulous food and service! Lisa was our server and she was wonderful! The bone in rib eye melted in my mouth, our friends lobster was excellent. Love the Abe Louie salad! Lisa convinced us to try the butterscotch bread pudding OMG! We are addicted! Best steakhouse ever!"

"Been here 2 times in the last month and I have to say it most certainly is not the service that keeps me coming back. The food is delicious.. But the time it takes to get your drinks, food or even be noticed that youâre there is what is wrong with this restaurant. But the food! Is spot on! We ate on the patio which is nice you are able to hold a conversation⦠inside is very noisy. I will definitely return because the food is so delicious and keep my fingers crossed that some day they will fix the issues with their Waite staff and bartenders."

"Decent at best. That’s all really. It is very noisy- by design. Look up and you’ll see why. The ceiling is designed to carry the noise from the bar throughout the restaurant. And honestly I don’t care to listen to the bumpin music they’re playing at the bar when we’re at our booth 50+ feet away. It is also very dim. Extremely poor lighting, according to our waitress (who was very nice) this is also by design because other diners have made comment about this too and she said she’s mentioned it and the feedback she gets is “it creates the ambience.” Yeah okay…… “ambience.” The food is decent at best. Caesar salad was pretty good. But what is up with the streak being doused in butter? There was a pool of butter on my plate around my steak. Is the lighting dim in the kitchen too? Can the chefs not see what they’re doing? All in all, New York Prime is not any better than Morton’s or The Capital Grille. In fact, we probably should have gone to one of those two. There’s nothing New York about this restaurant at all. After returning home we decided to check out New York Prime’s website and read their menu story about how “New York Prime is a different kind of steakhouse.” If you ever want a laugh, read that. You’ll tear up, it’s hilarious. Proprietors seem very full of themselves! Anyway, we were very unimpressed, will definitely not be returning."

"Once again Mortons demonstrates it's inability to prepare a steak at medium temperature. It took two return trips to the cook and the end result was a filet mignon that was ruined. To their credit the other entree's were closer to what was desired and only one entree was cooked perfectly as ordered. Not the time this has happened nor the last I am afraid to say. You would have thought the ruined steak would have been removed from the bill but instead, a free desert was offered. The only thing that saved this special occasion birthday dinner on Mother's Day was the great table service and the company"

"we arrived 10 minutes early and although our table was ready and there were very few diners we said we had to wait because they had no server. our server was very nice but was not understandable about the menu. we asked about the sauces and he was not in agreement with his description. he had to go to the kitchen to ask. we had servale courses and they would take away the cute, but then not replace them. we had dirty dishes that were stacked together, and we stacked our tellers to make a place at the table. we had to ask serval times for new bestecke when we were eating before us. After our steaks arrived, we had to ask for the sauces we had ordered so many times, we sat with hot food waiting for cutlery and sauces while we had warm food before us. for the $800 w tipp for 5 people I was disappointed with the service."

"the service was terrible! the whole meal was eaten! as if they needed the table for another party. we had ordered appetizers, we had not finished our appetizers earlier and the meals came. I wanted to send back, but I knew that the meals would be sitting under a heat lamp that boils away! Our waiter never looked at us to ask if we needed something or if our meal would be for our joy! we had to ask for water and more brot. then the best part was, we were not even finished with our entrees and the waiter asked if we were dessert! not the best culinary experience and for the pricing, the experience should be fantastic, and it was not! I would not recommend this restaurant."

"I have to say we expected more. we love eating in curo, but this visit was subpar and not indikatiw for the kind of culinary expectations that the restaurant. in a restaurant that may serve 60-70% of its capacity, we waited 45 minutes for drinks and suppe. No one came to take our menus. No one came for everything. we never saw a manager, even though we were disappointing at the fact that we waited for forty five minutes for a beer and a glass of wine. I actually went to the bar outside the restaurants and bought drinks and brought them back. I went to host three and passed a series of employees and no one asked why I would go out of the restaurant to get drinks. that was okay, not worth this visit. very disappointing."

"While other tables were served bread right away, we did not receive any. After we finished our meals, we waited for about 15 minutes, hoping to order dessert, but we couldn’t locate our waiter. Finally, I asked another waitress for a takeout box for leftovers and to find our waiter for the check. She returned with the bag for our leftovers, and shortly after, our waiter appeared with the bill. Needless to say, his tip reflected the level of service we received."

"My husband and I went to Oak Thursday, March 8th for his birthday. I selected this restaurant because of the reviews and some word of mouth. I had no idea how far it would exceed my expectations. I actually stopped by a few hours before my reservations with a car full of balloons and pulled through to the valet and told him I had a reservation later but wanted to drop off the balloons now. The valet got the manager and he poked a little fun at me and took the balloons and said don’t worry we got it. Our reservation was at 7:15 we got there around 6:50p. The hostess gave me a wink and said go to the bar and we will get your table ready. The manager came by while we were at the bar to introduce himself and told us about the various cuts of meat and flavor. It was exciting because we generally eat vegetarian and vegan at home for health reasons but my husband loves steak and chicken. My husband asked if they had a chicken and steak combination he said no but he would figure something out. Oh Boy did he figure it out; red carpet style. They created a fried chicken appetizer just for him and I had the crab cake and the server added several things for us to try, each dish being more exquisite than the last. My husband had the bone-in filet, I had the 8oz filet both prepared medium rare yummmmm so good, just perfect. Service from the valet to the server was impeccable. Food and drinks were amazing. We came in as customers and left as friends. Thank you for making us feel like we were royalty."

"We went with friends and were glad that it was restaurant week. First we had to ask for the special menu which is always annoying. Either you a participant in restaurant week or you are not. Ordered mozzarella and tomato app. Literally was served one slice of each. Pathetic. Ordered rib eye which was a $10 upcharge. Steak was awful. My friend said hers was inedible. Mine was horrible as well. Desert was flavorless. Worst part was the service. None. Had to wait 30 minutes for table to be cleared after the main course. Plenty of great steakhouses in and around great neck. Avoid this one at all costs."

"The vibe is very much like a night club with low lighting and music playing as you enter. The greeter has a hard time finding our open table reservation but once that was figured out things went very well. The food was very good overall and the menu had good variety. The chicken and port dumplings were excellent as was the stroganoff. I’d recommend the horseradish infused vodka. A bit pricey but it was very tasty."

"We had the most wonderful, fun and lovely experience at this restaurant. We took our daughter and her boyfriend to dinner. We sat at a high top in the bar. They had on both the Sunday night ncaa football and the Sunday night baseball game, which we love and is not always easy to find. The service was top notch. Every person working here was excellent. We had a server in training, Katie, she was as skilled and knowledgeable as any server I've ever encountered in a 5 star restaurant. We will be back. There is a fun surprise after you order your steak, I won't ruin that. Truly a terrific night"

The manager Shauna was delightful, dressed extremely festive for the holidays so it added some extra charm to the ambiance. She even helped sing happy birthday with our celebration.
