"We are just visiting in Louisville for a family weekend and found this little place in a strip mall. We were warmly greeted by Nelson and beverages quickly brought to the table. We started with their cheese stick appetizer and it was delightful. Queso blanco encased in a house made pastry, served up with a nicely flavored cilantro mayo. We split three different arepa. First off, the corn cakes themelves were tender, delicate, hot and very fresh. The Pabellon was stuffed with a slow cooked and flavorful shredded beef, black beans, a little cheese, and sweet plantains. The fish arepa was fried cod and a yummy tartar sauce. And the chicken arepa was shredded, seasoned chicken with cheddar cheese and a few generous avocado slices. My husband loved the coffee freshly brewed and strong and we both loved our shared dessert: Quesillo, a Venezuelan interpretation of flan, slightly sturdier than most Latin American flans (and absolutely delicious). The service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant uses heavy black cloth napkins, and the flatware is heavy and solid little things, maybe, but little things are important and send a message to guests that they are valued. The entire place is scrupulously clean. We highly recommend and will definitely be back for another meal the next time we are in Louisville. Show less"
