"A perfect evening. The lighting is bewitching. The diminutive space is right for the neighborhood and makes you feel like you've stumbled into a secret. The heavy velvet curtain inside the door shields those blessed to be inside from harsh winter chill and is reminiscent of passing the velvet ropes outside of Little Nels in 1988. You cannot select a bad wine from their list. The food is all enticing on the menu and, although decadent, its deeply-delicious on the tongue. The Cacio e Pepe pasta served on a thick ribbon of pasta was perfection al dente. The kale pesto on a homemade floppy pasta was complex and bright, and has the illusion of being healthy. The carbonara is just divine. Don't skip this neighborhood gem. Its worth every lira you have."

"had our jubilee dinner here last night. everyone took care of us very well when we arrived. the dinner was delicious and the decor was beautiful. I loved how relaxed our experience was and how comfortable the sitting was. we didn't feel hurry to hurry through our dinner. we were able to enjoy the variety of options of appetizers / bargains before ordering our main course and desserts. will in any case be a returning customer?"

"Visiting from the UK ?? this was an absolute gem to walk into. My partner and I heard about it from the friends we stayed with as they had visited one of the other locations near Brooklyn.We went just after work time so like 5:30 pm and it was already getting busy. The place has awesome interiors, bright and airy with an awesome NYC energy flowing through out! The service was great, they’re super tentative and make sure you’re seen to quickly.Food was delicious especially for the price, which was so decent my table of four were all fighting to pay the cheque at the end of our evening ? middle class problems for sure!The menu has a great selection and their cocktails offer a little something for everyone. This is a real vibey place I’d recommend to locals and tourists alike for sure!"

The fish and spinach was good but the fish with sauce was cold. Even the sauce was coagulated from sitting. I wrapped it to go. The lasagna was cold and tasteless. Had much better elsewhere. "Watch this restaurant, the service is terrible. Definitely on the worst culinary experience of my life. At the beginning we have in this restaurant on 22. May 2022 gedimt, I had gedimated here 5 years ago and it was a completely different experience. After 1/2 hour of giving the menu we had to ask someone to take our order. The staff is unstoppable and unmotivated. I asked about a slice of lemon and got a club soda I returned. Then the spinach in my soup had sand in it and the spinach in my sister vein. So they definitely don't wash their vegetables. I'm a second generation Italian and nothing about eating here is Italian. The veal is comminuted in mushrooms and sauces. Our wine and champagne water was removed from the table in a common bucket and poured only once. When we were asked for more wine, we were ignored when he finally told us about the flag of another server that our wine was lost. Our server tried to create a new bottle of wine (which we did not see him open) and free dessert. Once we got the bill, the club soda I didn't order was still there. I asked her to remove her and not her. So unnecessary to say they don't get a good tip. We left the restaurant and I forgot my phone. I went back and they stared at me for about 5 minutes and didn't let me in. Then I was crocheted by one of the servers to leave less tip than they expected. You really think bad service should be rewarded! I'll never eat here again."

"My family and I absolutely love Café Troia! The service is impeccable (Lisa and our server Moises were fantastic), the food is so delicious, and the atmosphere and décor is beautiful! Due to Covid in 2020 we had no choice but to reschedule our daughters’ wedding multiple times this year. Obviously, we also were no longer able to have a big wedding as originally planned, and instead had a very intimate but beautiful, small ceremony in our church with just very immediate family and a beautiful dinner afterwards at Café Troia. It truly was so special, but especially for our daughter and new son….the new bride and groom. Words just aren’t enough to say how grateful we are to Café Troia for making it as truly memorable and wonderful as they did. We have always enjoyed Café Troia over the years for dinner and have celebrated various occasions such as birthdays and dinner after our daughter’s graduation from Towson U a few years back. But this wedding dinner for our daughter and new son was amazing and so special, and we will always be very grateful to Café Troia for making it so, while keeping the safety restriction protocals in place. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts again Café Troia! So highly recommend Café Troia whether for lunch, dinner or for a very wonderful, special occasion!"
