"love this place every time I order within 20 minutes they are at the door of my house with beautiful still hot food. I hate it when you order from somewhere, it takes an hour plus and the food is cold. Your food here is very reasonable price and their customer service and delivery time is amazing. the supplier always remembers you after only one time order and always greets us with a smile and asks us how you have been. Have tried many other Chinese places around Garfield and now this is the only one I'm so desperate trying out these guys!"

"I ordered over 100 dollars worth A food from this establishment for Mother's Day so the mothers wouldn't have to cook. Not even 24 hours later everybody who ate the food became severely ill. My daughter ended up having to go to the hospital. I don't know what item that we ordered it was, but something made everybody severely ill. I was the only one spared because I didn't eat any of the food. The only reason I didn't need any of the food is because I'm on a special diet. I guess I should thank God for small favors. Never again!"

"My family and I have been ordering from Hunan Star for over 8 years and not one time have we been disappointed! Their food is always served hot and yummy! Hands down the best Chinese/Asian food in town! If you ever get tired of just doing take-out, I’d recommend actually dining in! The service is amazing and we never leave hungry. In fact you always have leftovers because their portion sizes are so large! P.S. You gotta try their pizza rolls! We’ve ordered so many times they know us by name HAHA! "1. Asked for brown rice on one order and was given regular white rice colored brown with soy sauce!2. The Beef with scallions and ginger was mostly regular onions, hardly any scallions, and no ginger at all!3. The Cold Noodles with Sesame Sauce has hardly any sesame flavor at all, and no longer comes with sliced cucumbers.4. If you order take out soup, you have to remind them to put the dry noodles.5. Take out orders used to come with a fortune cookie I guess not anymore!6. Will be looking for another restaurant next time!"

"Very disappointed. I spend about $300 a month on take out from this location. I do ask for dishes prepared a certain way. Sometimes they are spot on, other times not so much. I have had the occasional hiccup on wrong items placed in my order or items not prepared as requested, and I have dealt with it. This time it was a bit much, given the increased prices in take out these days. Recently I was given an incorrect item that was over $10. I live over 15 minutes away. I had to drive back, return the wrong item and all I was offered was an apology and a free egg roll. I was insulted by the offer. I have worked in retail services for 4 decades. If I get a customer order wrong, I would minimally offer a credit for the item (whether the customer keeps the wrong item or returns it), or give them a courtesy gift card or perhaps a discount on a future order. I received nothing but sorry. This tells me the customer is less important than the bottom line. It forces me to rethink where I spend my money on take out. This bad experience could have been turned around if the location had done the right thing and bore the cost of the mistake instead of expecting me to suck it up and accept the wasted gas and time to return it."

"My recommendations on what to order... I highly recommend.. Service is great, prices aren't bad, you get a LOT of food for the . Start off with the MANGO SALAD as an appetizer for two, then, if you like shrimp, I recommend the KOONG PAD PHED (it's a little spicy, but I think you can have it mild). This dish is out of this world.. I haven't found another THAI restaurant anywhere that makes the mango salad and koong pad phed this good..
