"the small cup was unusual, with delicate bark on the brot under the narrow it was great. the chic cornbread was light and tasty. we had all 7 unzen. filet, a smidgeon over boiled, but tenderly a tasteful. we ordered the kartoffels, framed spinat and mushroom bolognese as side. all were delicious. there was a problem with one of those we pointed to the manager, jordon, who was over generous to adapt our bill. the service was perfectly timed and inconspicuous, simply perfect. my son in law and I celebrated his MBA department and both were impressed by this restaurant. I'm back."

"We have never written a bad review of a restaurant. We have also not had 4 dishes so poorly executed. Didn’t finish any of them. No idea how Google rating is 4.7 with over 500 reviews. Salmon tartare was really lox and very little of it. Butternut squash fritters were solid dough and you had to work hard to find the squash flavor especially with the overpowering tomatoe pure. The baguette was served with a steak knife. They knew how hard it was. It was also stone cold and the cheese stuff inside did nothing to exhannce the dish. Even the salad with it was impossible to finish as the bitterness of the ridiccio overpowered everything else. So we decided to share the French onion burger to be safe and even that was bad. Buns were burnt. It had crazy flavor that overpowered the burger yet there was nothing on the bun or burger to scrape off and try to make it edible. The wine and server were both great but would never go back."

"The attention was excellent and the food delicious. I ordered the meat and was very good. The only thing I would suggest is to clean the stains in the carpet stairs, it looks dirty and the ceiling has some spiderwebs. Besides than that, decoration and ambience was perfect! Thank you"

"Christmas dinner. 6 course pricing fixed menu at $120 per head with wine pairing for an additional $30 per person. Seating at 6:30. At 8:00 we had only been served 2 courses. Not once did the server stop by to refresh drinks or ever ask about our satisfaction. I asked manager to expedite the food delivery. Upon dong so, and after another 25 minutes had passed, the server delivered 2 courses simultaneously. The second of the two courses were cold by the time we finished the first. The services was atrocious. The restaurant was a little over half full. The lobster in the pasta course was raw. $500 for 3 people. I plan to call tomorrow to seek a refund. I always overtip, never complain or send food back. This is the first time. This restaurant should be ashamed. $500 for 3 people"

"Overall the food was pretty tasteless. The clam chowder was horrible and I could only stomach a couple of spoonfuls. They did remove the cost of the chowder which was nice of them. The prime rib was certainly not worth the price nor the 2.5 hour round trip car ride I endured to get there. Only the Salad a dessert was ok although the dessert was described as an ice cream sundae but was only a scoop of ice cream with a small amount of caramel sauce and a few chocolate crisps"

"My boyfriend and I came for brunch to get together with some friends. Let me first start off by saying our waitress was SO kind. The staff right from the start really made us feel welcome. Next, the atmosphere. I used to work off of 16th and know how some of the downtown areas can be noisy or problematic with traffic. This was such a quaint area off of 16th, we sat outside and I hardly noticed any of the cars or people walking by. The food was tasty we all opted for the basic breakfast (I forgot the name of it but it was eggs bacon potatoes and toast, essentially) and it was wonderful! Our waitress was outstanding and made us want to come back."

"Ambience was nice in main rooms. We were sat on what seemed to be a converted patio which was very warm bc ac wasn’t working correctly which the staff was aware of. We ordered the dinner rolls and onion rings for app. The bread rolls were very dense for especially for being a for charge item. Onions rings had great batter and crisp, but really lacked seasoning. Entrees were the 16 oz bone in ribeye and bone in pork schnitzel. My wife loved the ribeye, however the schnitzel much the onion rings completely lacking in seasoning although also prepared with a lovely crust. Pork was also a little dry on the inside. We also had Brussels sprouts and French fries which were good. Overall was just disappointed with the seasoning missteps for what I consider to be premium pricing."

"Server was Mike,very helpful since our 1st time there. Got bone marrow toast ceaser salad for appetizers 2 glasses of wine,French red merlot blend from Napa! Wine, bone marrow toast was Excellent, ceaser salad just Ok! I ordered the ribeye wife got filet migion. Got truffle butter with ribeye,she had white peppercorn sauce with fillet, Excellent! Sides were asparagus mashed potatoes,asparagus hollandaise sauce, really good, mashed potatoes generic! Dessert was cheese cake with blueberries some kind of fruit sorbet, birthday dessert was coconut sorbet, I'm not a coconut fan but all were Excellent!! Also got a cappuccino, very good!!!"

"If I could give a non-vegetarian restaurant 5 stars, I would. I appreciate their options in a community that likely would not sustain a vegetarian restaurant. We had lunch at Roots today. My husband ordered the black bean sandwich (comes with cheddar cheese which could be removed) and I ordered the tofu sandwich (which comes with aioli which can be removed substituted). The staff was very courteous and accommodated our requests for changes even suggesting some substitutions. Both meals were very tasty. My husband ordered fries as a side and I ordered a quinoa salad which was amazing! The atmosphere was conducive to conversation and table sizes not cramped. Our meals cost $25."

So the server helped us choose the best for our preferences. They have halal steak on theirmenu, and authentic wagu steak from Australia. Also they gave us a complimentary banana flavored cotton candy with our dessertfor our anniversary that small touch really made the whole experience special."

"We have dined here several times a year since they opened. Recent changes have only improved an already excellent restaurant. They always have an extensive list of cold water oysters. Best seating is on floor one near the bar, it’s always busy. The bar tenders are creative, clever in conversation and never disappoint. Floors two and three and small, low key and very New Orleans. My wife always goes for the freshly shucked oysters while I think the lobster roll is as good as any spot on Hwy 1 on the coast of Maine. Never disappoints"

"The server was excellent, and he had a great personality. The food was excellent and we got a lot for our money, however, I noticed that there was some meat (sausage) in my food. The sword fish was really good, but I don’t eat any meat other than some fish occasionally. The server didn’t know that I didn’t eat meat, and once I found out he accommodated me with mashed potatoes. I pushed the rest of the meat to the side of my plate."

"I did a delivery order thru Grubhub. First of all one of the items was, out of stock, no problem but then when I received the order another item was missing and a substitution was made without permission. Now to the Quality (or lack there of} the so called Morning Bun looked like nothing I'd ever seen and the taste and texture was so bad I through it away. I also ordered Lemon Bars a simple recipe, again poor taste and texture through them out. I've shopped at the Taste Of Denmark for awhile but the Quality has really gone way down. I can not recommend or will I shop there again. Dissatisfied , Disappointed Customer Michael Day"
