"The service was prompt, and the food was mostly good! They bring out warm dinner rolls, and there is olive oil on the table, as well as balsamic vinegar for dipping. They were out of vodka completely and a few other things due to an unusually busy week, but we made do. The server was very accommodating for our drink orders. For dinner I had the salmon crema with lemon, and it came with summer squash and zucchini as well as tomatoes and some red peppers. Very tasty, and a generous portion! My BFF had veal piccata, and she said the sauce and pasta were great, but the veal was tough. She took her leftovers home and will likely redo the veal. We passed on dessert to get out before the next rain storm, but it was tempting! We will go again, on a week night, and probably try the lasagna as well as the shredded duck pasta dish. The menu is somewhat limited, but tantalizing! We didn't order wine because their selection was unfamiliar to us and slightly pricey. I had a gin tonic, and it was fabulous! They only had Bombay gin, and their tonic is bottled, not off the gun. My friend had some kind of custom bourbon drink, and she was happy with how the server made it, so she had a 2nd. Her drinks were made with Makers Mark and were $8 each, and my Bombay tonic was $9. The whole staff all 3 of them) were helpful and engaging. The kitchen is open, as this is such a small space, so the chef checked in on everybody and even made special requests for a table next to us. Very cool!"
