"I would not recommend this place AT ALL. The food was barely OK, the atmosphere initially seemed decent, but the way that we were treated at this place was the WORST I have ever encountered. I visited the restaurant with my brother, sister in law, my mom and my 2 nieces. From the minute we sat down the waitress was rushing us. I had not even removed my coat and she wanted to know our order, I had not even seen the menu yet! Then seconds after we were served our food and barely into our first bite the waitress was back asking how we wanted our check split up. Our check arrived before dessert did. We were all still clearly eating our meal--in the early part of the meal and the waitress said I will bring your dessert She brought all of us a bowl of swirl ice cream--did not at all give us a choice on what type of ice cream we wanted....then, (while 2 of us were still on dessert) to make matters worse one of the other wait staff came over and said to us Um, I know that this is little awkward, and I am not asking you guys to leave, but there are people who are waiting to be seated My mom made the comment to him that uhm, it certainly sounds as if you are asking us to leave while he stumbled for a response, my sister in law who was just livid suggested that he just walk away now. They invited us to leave, and 15 mins later we did. But in inviting us to leave, they have lost the opportunity for any of us to ever want to return, whether for take out (which my brother 's family did fairly often) and we have no problem telling everyone. If were we a rowdy crowd, or demanding of the waitress or anything such as that I can perhaps understand. But were not. We were just a family getting together to see each other. Any busy restaurant I have ever gone to, I expect that there may be a waiting list be seated on a Saturday evening....and that seating is usually on a first come, first served basis....and as the customer coming in, if I don 't feel like waiting, then I know that maybe I should visit somewhere else, and return to this one later. But good job Altony 's--you lost several customers yesterday--and you can be sure we are telling everyone that you do not want customers."
