"In my search for pizza I came across this new restaurant. Being from Connecticut, I missed the pizza as nothing around here even comes close to pizza from up north. I decided to give it a shot I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pie and it was fantastic! Crispy thin crust and very flavorful toppings very similar to NY/New Haven pizza. I told my wife about it and she was very excited to try it out. We went back 2 days later I decided to try the Fettuccine Funghi with pink sauce, and my wife ordered a pie with sausage, mushrooms and anchovies. The fettuccine was delicious. It looked very heavy, but I was pleasantly surprised as it was much lighter than it appeared and was extremely flavorful my wife agreed. Now onto the pizza.... wow, what a difference from my first experience. The crust was SOGGY, but not soggy from grease, and the cheese was chewy (not in a good way). My assumption is that the brick oven wasn't hot enough. I noticed the chef put on a new log when he put in our pizza. Such a disappointment! Suggestions: More topping options ie: fresh green peppers, onions etc. More than just beer and wine. I could see myself having a pizza and a few cocktails at the bar after work. Crank up the AC! It was pretty hot in there probably due to the oven, and I was sweating. There was a large party next to us and I noticed several of the ladies were fanning themselves, also. I hope this was a fluke because I really enjoyed my first pizza experience. It would be great to have a place close to my house that I could go to for a good pie. The place is small, but very attractive, and the service was very good. I will give them another shot and hope they win me over."
