"we have been happy with friends who we hadn't seen for a long time for dinner. I have chosen via perla about other restaurants in the inner city of boulder because it offers good Italian cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. but I had hoped that the restaurant would not be crowded with loud people, because we really wanted to talk and catch up, not scream and laugh gay. we have, to our great joy, laugh a lot, listen to us strata and comments, and enjoyed our cocktails and dinners. add the wonderful and cheerful service of a friendly server called stacy, and they have everything essential for a beautiful night out. "We always go to the Copper Kitchen for a special occasion or to bring people from the family. We've had always great experiences. Well, this one wasn't so much. The hostess did an awesome job. My congratulations to him. We got our beautiful spot. When we were having a chat this lady came and pour our water without saying a word. Like: NOTHING. We looked at each other surprised but we thought She must be the busser (My husband is a restaurant manager and we've both worked for the restaurant industry so we know what this is about). After a while, the same lady came to our table to take our drinks order. Happened to be the same girl who poured our water. She didn't acknowledge the fact that we were with babies (Something you would do at least while being fake to MAKE YOUR TIPS She only asked about drinks and right after if we had decided in our drinks. She did not take the time to introduce herself, or to explain the specials from that night. After waiting for a while, we saw our drinks going to another table and as it was the one next to us, I turned around and explained the lovely couple what was going on. We all laughed and she did apologized the other table when realized but never said anything to us. We had finally our drinks and appetizer which she never asked how it was. Then we asked for salt and pepper which went to another table again. We were SO looking forward to our dinner here and we did not bring home the best experience. What we can say is that we really like the food quality and that it is original. I have to say that I'm not sure If I will be coming back but what I do think is that the manager should be paying attention to their servers and recommend tips or training to those like ours that time. I even put a note as it was a special occasion (My moms death anniversary). There was NO interaction or care for our table. We usually tip more than what we're supposed to. Not this time. Too bad."

"This is a great restaurant! The service is personable and exceptional ! The black paella is wonderful as well as the Toro paella. Fried goat cheese, scallops with guacamole and figs are favorites! Inside seating is cozy and loud. Outside is comfortable and the live music is great...really puts you in relaxed mode."

"we had a nice time at our first visit to la bonne soupe. it was a busy pre-theatre time and the staff was somewhat stressed, but remained pleasant. for me, the Entree selections were limited – fat meat dishes or sandwiches were the most important choices. I finished the addition of salmon to a Caesar salad – a little boring. the salmon was nicely boiled, the salad was drowned in the dressing and had to be cut with knife and fork. on the positive side were the oysters, mush and ducks, enjoyed by others, good choices. the prices are competitive for the neighbourhood."

"very nice restaurant with great food. my only problem was that I said at our original reservation that it was a very special birthday, so we can have the table at the kamin. I made the reservations months in advance when I also booked this inn. When I confirm, I mentioned it again and was told that they would make a note. then again when they called the day before I mentioned it and was told they would make a note. then I was told again that they would make a note. my thought was all the other comments! when we checked in after our reservation, we were a few minutes early and we said they couldn't check us in, as there were a few more before us. the tables were all literally empty, so not sure why we had to wait, but I said again, we should have the table at the fireplace and only then did the woman (which was not very nice) said they did not do any special table reservations! I had asked after 2 months and not one person said that before. also there were a few with a private table in the library all in itself, and the room is not part of the restaurant. why were they treated with a special table when I had tried to ask for a few months. that our dinner began very bad and was a special occasion that took me out."

"the personal was great. they were very busy and seemed to be shorthanded, but it was good to handle. that was so. the calamari was good, but was not freshly prepared. the Trufle-Pommes were great. I had the mahi mahi and it seemed like it was frozen before, but the waitress said it was fresh when I ordered. either it was considered. my wife had the lamb stew. it was pretty good and better than the fish. the prices were reasonable."

"This had been one of the stops on a food tour I 'd done and I wanted to return for a full meal. Things started off a bit off we got there a few minutes before they were scheduled to open. I tried the door, and thought it was locked. After opening time I tried again and it still seemed locked. I didn 't realize the handle was locked in place, but the door was, in fact, unlocked (I just needed to pull it open). I 'll know better next time. We were the only ones there for most of the dinner which may have been because it was mid week. The service was excellent and the food was scrumptious. I will definitely recommend and return."

"Cute little French place. So excited to see rabbit on the menu and it was an amazing dish! The escargot were sandy though, and the cassoulet was much too fatty, even for a traditionally fatty dish. They had Lilet and sold us the whole bottle for a reasonable price. Service is friendly and personable. Place feels like a typical french small-town bistro, a little dark and a great location to celebrate a special occasion."

"This place was amazing!!! We were a little overwhelmed at first. We came to the mountains for my wife 's 30th Birthday. She exclaimed that she wanted a nice dinner. We are from the Upstate of SC and don 't usually do high class restaurants. We have small children and it just doesn 't work well. But this weekend, Gramsey took the babies. Our waitress was Jay. SHE WAS FANTASTIC!!! Very personable, and knowledgeable of the menu. She could tell we weren 't use to this caliber of food but she never let us feel as though we were eating out of our league. She gave helpful recommendations and took all the time we needed to explain the fancy items on the menu. We ordered the Mushroom Fondue as an appetizer. It came out very fast and was Soooooooo good!!! My wife doesn 't eat mushrooms, but she really enjoyed it. While we were eating it, the hostess came by to check on us and was so polite. Our food came out and looked like art on a plate. My wife had the Pork Prime Rib and I had the NC Duck Breast. Forgive me for not knowing everything that came with the plates. I do know there were pickled veggies. Hers did have spinach, parmesan polenta and mine had lentils. Everything was delicious. While we were eating, the Chef, Tim, came to our table. Asked us how the food was and wished my wife a happy Birthday. He was extremely nice. Then we ordered dessert. I had the Blackberry Wine Cake and my wife had Creme Brule. These were the best desserts ever. Then a young man with a fantastic handlebar mustache named David came by, wished my wife a Happy Birthday. In fact, several of the staff did. Then when our bill came, Jay, our waitress informed us that the Chef, Tim, wanted to buy my wife 's dessert for her Birthday. It was a wonderful experience. One we never thought we would have had when we first walked in. And the view was so AMAZING!!! A painting only God could make. This place is a 10 out of 10 for sure."
