"South Bay is a favorite with very good food drinks, attentive service, and a convenient location in downtown New Haven near parking and theaters. The ambience is generally great but I gave it only 3 stars due to the extreme closeness of the tables and restroom shortage. But we still love it and will be back."

"Great meal at this longtime fave spot in wash park. Creative cocktails (try the Deep Claw if you are partial to the classic Long Island iced tea) and wonderfully prepared food. I tried the black garlic chicken and my partner had the fish special (what kind of fish I've forgotten) but the fish was the best. The real star for us was the oysters Rockefeller. Just wish we could get those plump east coast oysters here. We finished with the banana chocolate bread pudding which was deliciously decadent. Looking forward to visiting again to try some pasta dishes."
