"We were in the city of NYC for a few nights. We ordered from a few local places, and our best experience was with Frank 's. We didn't know what was good, so we ordered some items in the first night. After a not so great experience that was ordered by a local diner for breakfast, we went back with Frank's in the second night. My children who are super picky have torn off the pizza and chicken fingers. The salads were fresh and delicious, and the portions were very generous. Hoagies also get a thumb. I was surprised that the Fried Shrimp Platter was basically popcorn shrimp, but my son ate it so that a thumb also gets. My daughter loved her spaghetti and meatballs. Overall delicious and comfortable."

"great ambiente. loved the historical wood construction with the exposed stone walls and the postmodern painting. beloved watch the game projected on the big screen. they told us about 30 minutes waiting on a Saturday night at 19 o'clock, but we were sitting within 15 minutes. eating was amazing. I had tacos and they were a perfect mix of taste and size, not too small, but also not too big. others at the table got the red fish taco and shared that their favorites. we finished the night with a brotpudding that had a good balance of sugar sweet. a further evaluation had given a bit of a flan type texture that was a good description. service was great. Come back!"

"We enjoyed such a wonderful meal at Fratello's that I can't wait to go back to enjoy more of their menu! I had eggplant rollitini and it just melted in my mouth a top perfectly cooked ziti with homemade sauce. Shrimp scampi and a traditional pasta dish were also a huge hit. Our server Kim was the best! Everyone from table bus person to the owner were extremely friendly. Thank you for a truly enjoyable and delicious meal!"

"This is the fourth or fifth time we have dinned at Mario's restaurant. Every time we visit the Matthews area we make a point of having dinner there. Staff are always friendly and accommodating . "My wife and I are long time Derby Customers. 30+ years). The past 2 times we have been in we have had problems. The second to last time we had the Tomahawk Steak for a celebratory dinner. The meat was barely warm and the sides were room temperature. Anyone can have a bad doy so we wrote it off to having a bad day. All the other times we had been in during the past 30 years, it has been great. Last hight we came in for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. My wife ordered the Derby Delite with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Both were room temperature. Very disappionting. They did take it off the bill, but that's not the idea of a celebration. Two times in a row and we're having doubts about going back which is a shame as we really loved the place. Right now I'm not sure I would reccomend it to a friend."

"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter, on his own initiative, brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate. We will come back in any case."

"Lasagna. Said to have meat and sausage. Who in earth uses link sausage slices in lasagna….should be sausage chunk or crumbles. Was warm at best. Ask to substitute the lemonade splash in a drink …that means add something else…at all costs. Instead, the give the drink half full and no substitute. We would’ve paid for the substitute… Shrimp and scallops in a pasta dish were both well over cooked and very rubbery."
