"Why did we wait this long to try this lovely restaurant? The OWNERS are there engaging in every aspect of your dining experience which is so rare these days. Every single pasta is handmade. The menu has classics and some fun things we'd never seen. Gorgeous wine list is not overpriced and worth a glass or a bottle (or two. A fun basket of skinny breadsticks, bread and crostini accompanied by olive oil and herbs and a kind of whipped red pepper spread come as a start at no charge (nice touch. Even the ice water had a nice presentation in a modern glass vessel with lemon slices floating atop. Adorable dripping candle out of a wine bottle with mismatched chandeliers throughout made this place feel so cozy and real. Not pretentious, but inviting. The Cesar salad is a real Cesar salad. This is not some dressing out of a bottle. Perfectly balanced ingredients and not heavy handed on the anchovy which I appreciate knowing the importance of the anchovy to make the right flavor but not an anchovy fan per se. My hubby ordered the Truffle Sausage (which they make themselves!! over truffle risotto. I would buy this sausage and keep it at home. The sausage was delicious and the risotto was creamy and velvety! This might be on permanent rotation for us. I'm still dreaming about it. I had the homemade beef ravioli with the bolognese sauce. The pasta was so light and airy I couldn't believe it. The sauce was so incredibly well done. Oh, and by the way, our food came out steaming hot. They are paying attention! Our neighbor table ordered the fettuccine Alfredo. It's done table side by the owner in a giant wheel of cheese imported from Italy. He didn't stop there though. Once the fettuccine was ready out of the wheel and plated, he uses a torch to brown the cheese on top before serving to you. So, if you want a lovely, delicious evening, GO HERE! If you don't, we'll be there without you."
