"We are fans of Hummus place at Stanford, but San Mateo location is different. Quality of the food is the same, but vibes and ambience is more like canteen. My husband always go for lamb shish kebab it is good. I went for salmon it varies, not as predictable as kebab. The place and the team are very kids friendly. We are visiting with our 13months old baby, the team plays and interacts with the baby in a very friendly Turkish style way! Much appreciated!"

"Thinking I would support a local business and treat my wife and children to a fine dining experience, but this was a major disappointment. Walking into loud music and our waiter showing up in sneakers, jeans and a tee-shirt was a sign of worse thingsto come. My son ordered the Valentines weekend special, a medium well beef tenderloin with grilled shrimp, asparagus andpotato. The food arrived slightly cold, my sons steak was raw and cold in the center and it was covered in caned minced garlic. The waiter could tell we were not satisfied with how it was cooked and also commented that it was not cooked. We also asked fordrink refills at this time. They took the beef and returned it refired and still not medium well. After that we only had seenour waiter toward the end of the meal and never recieved out drinks. The manager stopped and commented that she yelled at thechef several times and swears that they can cook a steak. She went on to say that she would keep yelling at them. They didcredit one of our meals, but the experience was so bad that we will not be returning."

"We also tried the Southwest egg rolls, which had a generous portion size suitable for sharing among a few people. They had a delightful southwest flavor kick. The Fiesta wrap was enjoyable as well; I expected the jalapeño wrap to be spicy, but it turned out to be mild—ironically, the egg rolls had more heat than the wrap. The wrap was also easy to share with one other person. The skinny fries that accompanied the wrap were quite tasty. I ordered the margarita pizza, but I wasn't fond of the pesto sauce that came with it. It changed the pizza from what I was expecting in a traditional margarita. I must have overlooked that detail on the menu; it probably mentioned the sauce. Overall, the menu offered a wide variety of options, and the place had a sports bar vibe. The Cucumber Gimlet was fresh and very cucumber-forward, which I enjoyed. The staff were friendly and attentive, making for an overall pleasant experience."

"After parking and walking, wee arrived at Pete's exactly at our reservation time, 4pm. It is inside a large hotel. Guess what? It was closed, as it is every Tuesday. I did not see this on their website, and Open Table happily approved our reservation. Very disappointing."

"We ordered the combo gyro plate and the lamb beef gyro wrap. We were hopeful as this place had good reviews, but unfortunately the meats were dry. The hummus with the combo plate was decent, but nothing special. My partner preferred the Mediterranean Kabob restaurant. The dining area was clean, although the floors were a bit sticky. Outdoor seating was available with heat lamps and a large TV. The staff only checked on us once, right after serving our food, and did not return until we had finished. Our water was not refilled. The restaurant was not very busy, with more takeout orders than dine-in customers. Due to the dry meat, I would not recommend this place and would not return myself."

"Our first time here. It is a magnificent experience. Beautiful interior. Very inviting. Even if you don't like Brussel Sprouts you've got to try theirs, they are the best I've ever tasted. Everything about this place, even the staff, screams eclectic. I had the Cooper with onion rings, great burger, I will order it again. Corbin also ordered the Cooper with fries, he was very pleased. Daniel Hill had the Tequila Lime Shrimp Tacos, you get two; they are huge and you get two. The tacos are overstuffed with shrimp unlike other places that sell them. They don't have a extensive menu but that's good they have put their perfection into enough without sacrificing quality or taste with a large selection. I give this place 5 stars. I recommend it to everyone that loves to eat and drink."

"The food is absolutely superb! The flavors are perfect, they are mild but rich and wonderfully combined. I usually get the Salmon, my kiddo is obsessed with the Chicken Alfredo not a typical alfredo) and my hubby gets either the lamb shanks or theSpaghetti meatballs.
