"We have been to KJ’s fish market and admired the freshness. We live an hour away, so it wasn’t really on our radar for a ‘date night’. Da Missus decided she wanted to go to KJ’s for sushi for her birthday. We sat at the sushi bar and chatted with the food prep folks. Fernando was very informative and very friendly. Our server, Sydney, was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable on the menu items. My wife had the deluxe sashimi platter it was LOADED with several generous servings of various fish. You could taste the freshness and they serve REAL crab, not the imitation stuff like most places. I had the Hoosier Roll and Dynamite roll. both were excellent. You could taste the freshness of the fish, it wasn’t overpowered by everything else. And there was a LOT of flavor packed into each roll. We have had a lot of sushi over the years being from California we were accustomed to getting fresh fish, sometimes going to the dock and getting it right off the boat. Kona Jack’s reminded us of that experience quality food and outstanding staff. We will be back!!"
