"Very casual, cozy and clearly popular diner. If you like some simple pancakes, it will work, though the Log Cabin syrup (no fructose, but has corn syrup instead) is sub-par, wish more breakfasts joints would invest in some Maple syrup. I had the hash brown (well-done) with onions, they were perfectly cooked and had a nice brown crispy crust, but next time I will order with light onions (bit too much). I had the tuna melt with Swiss on rye, that was tasty and the tuna quality was good. My BF had the 2-2-2-2 (2 eggs, upgraded to turkey sausage ilo of 2 sausage links and 2 bacon, 2 pancakes). The turkey sausage was rubbery and not well cooked at all and looked very off. It is still a good place for some decent breakfast/brunch/lunch. You will not leave the diner hungry."

"I recently dined at this restaurant for breakfast and had an amazing experience. The price per person was between $10 and $20, which I found to be quite reasonable. The food was top-notch, receiving a rating of 5 out of 5. The service was also excellent, with attentive and friendly staff earning another 5 out of 5. "Mary Jane and I have been going here since our first date, when it was still Dimitri's. Now, new owners, and they were smart they kept much of what was working for Dimitri's (so as not to ailenate Dimitri's loyal customers), but they have a new and considerably larger menu, reasonable prices, great food and service. If you haven't been there yet, check it out. Family friendly! Most dinners on their regular menu include soup AND salad (unlike many other restaurants that force you to choose one or the other. For us, that's a big deal. One of the things we liked about Dimitri's and something that Rex's carried over. And...they have root beer! My favorite drink! I highly recommend this place!"

"Geppeto’s has officially become my favorite place for pizza. I first tried their pizza when a coworker brought some for an event at work. By the time I was able to try the pizza it was cold, but by god was it still delicious, I decided then and there when I was released from my shift i’d get my own for dinner. I used their mobile app to place it, which does look and feel a little old but if it ain’t broke? I ordered a large pepperoni pan and a personal peach dessert pizza. The pizza of course was amazing from the dough to the cheese to the sauce to the cook on the pizza. It was also cut properly throughout, something the big chains like to slack about. The peach dessert pizza was also excellent, I don’t have much to say about it as i was to busy enjoying it to even critique it. The person working the counter when I came to pick the order up was also very polite and courteous. I will definitely be back for some more Geppeto’s!"

"Absolutely fantastic! This place is great food, atmosphere everything. We stopped for dinner and gave so much more. We were treated like family, not customers that the owner came out and came in and asked if we would enjoy our food. We had a little of everything on the menu from Chicken riggies to Pizza and it was all delicious. If you didn't finish the trip, it's worth it. I could go on and on about what a great culinary experience we had instead, I'm just going to say, go and try for myself and I guarantee you that you will be back for more. I know we will"

"I know the delivery delay isn't on the restaurant, so no fault to them on that. But the food was ice cold, maybe they should be notified of the driver's ETA to know when to start preparing. On top of that, my food took 1 hour and 40 minutes from the time I placed the order. When I finally received it, an item was missing."

"This North Beach pizza place offers substantial pizza, fair prices, and cozy seating, making it deserving of a four-star rating. I visited near closing time and took some time to navigate the extensive menu before asking the cashier for a recommendation. He suggested the Margherita pizza, so I ordered a personal size since I was dining alone. I was surprised by the size, as I thought it would be smaller. I also purchased a bottle of Martinelli's apple juice. My total came to around $17 before tip. While waiting for my pizza, I visited the clean and well-lit restroom. The dining area had dim lighting with spotlights on the tables. Although the seating was limited, it was enough for the evening crowd. My pizza arrived and I was impressed by its size. Despite not being very hungry, I managed to eat half of it. The crust was thicker than other Margherita pizzas I've had, but it was deliciously soft and topped generously. The cheese was melt-in-your-mouth, but the basil could have been chopped more finely and spread out better. The tomato slices were a bit thick for my liking. I ended up taking the remaining half of the pizza home in a box, feeling satisfied with the portion size for the price. The service was excellent, especially considering they were about to close. While the pizza wasn't my favorite, it was still decent and I believe I would have enjoyed it more if I were hungrier. Overall, I had a positive experience and would rate it four stars."

"service was terrible yesterday! I know they had a big party on the terrace, but if they don't provide the help in the interior less tables. manager was dismissed and had an apology for the long waiting period, but an hour for a calzone, a lasagne, and a few penne pastas is not good. a few weeks before our departure we had two lasagna that were warm outside and frozen inside. remade by a manager, but no excuse. will not come back with this afterhand in the service."

"The food at this restaurant is outstanding and the staff is incredibly friendly. I ordered minestrone soup, a slice of cheese pizza, chef's salad, and steamed vegetables. Everything was delicious, especially the fresh and crispy salad. The steamed vegetables were perfectly cooked, which was a major plus for me. If you're in the Golden Gate Park area, be sure to stop by and try their food. You won't be disappointed. And don't forget to try the bread - it's a must!"
