"Good experience in the not too distant past at Pier cafe but the service this time was unacceptable. I’m fairly confident the waiter just forgot me as it got busier. I waited almost 30 minutes after completing my dinner but he was never even close to my table again. The bust boy even came by and cleaned my table except for an empty drink. I eventually added up the price of everything plus tip and left cash on the table. It told the hostess what I did on my way out. I don’t believe this was a staffing issue, to which I am generally sensitive in these times. Price is still good. The lobster roll was amazing. Just needed better service this time."

"In town for work and wanted to grab dinner and watch the sunset. Expectations exceeded!!! Staff friendly and accommodating. Told my server I was from out of town and asked for her recommendation. WOW. Food was delicious, flavorful, fresh and perfect. Zero complaints. I lucked out. When back in the San Diego area I'll make the drive down. Can't recommend enough!!"

"Three of the four entrees we had were very good! Lobster roll was excellent with lots of lobster. Sea bass entree was not good, no seasoning. Service was not good. We never had anyone ask us if we wanted drink refills the entire meal. We had to flag someone down after our appetizers had been delivered for at least 5 minutes, to get us plates and silverware. Probably would not go back at the prices they’re charging."

"I fell in love with the shrimp Pesto Pasta, delicious, it offers a great view, great customer service, good food, even if the menu is not so big, you should add more food options to your menu, but it is great."

"My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time today during lunchtime around 12 pm. It was very busy, and the estimated wait time was 45 minutes. Despite considering leaving, we decided to wait as we had seen many advertisements and wanted to try it out. We were seated within 30 minutes, and it was definitely worth the wait! The customer service was exceptional from the moment we walked in until we left, and the food was delicious. Despite living an hour and a half away, we will definitely be returning. I will be recommending Pismos to everyone I know to try it out!"
