"Hidden away on East 110th Street, this tiny restaurant produces some of the best Spanish food I've had in the US. The croquetas with Serrano ham were sublime. The gambas al ajillo were deliciously garlicky, and the mushrooms with foie gras were a wonderful mix of tastes and textures. The grilled octopus was good, though not my favorite. The desserts were outstanding; we shared the refreshing lychee sorbet perched on a square of white peach gelée, a wonderful combo of flavors, and the Basque cheesecake, which was light yet satisfying, very delicious with the traditional charred top. There is a small wine list of good Spanish wine, and a bar of mostly Spanish aperitifs. The service was attentive and cheerful, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend!"
