"Getting a good Philly cheese steak is like a endless quest for me, there are a lot of places in Sac where you can get one, most are pretty good, but its few and far between where you finish one and tell your self that was awesome! Somebody on reddit was asking for suggestions for a cheese steak, most of them were you standard locations, but Phat Jerry 's was getting a lot of love on that thread, so the wife and I decided to take a lunch time trip down to watt ave to try one out. We decided to get the hoagie cheese steak we like a little bit of lettuce, tomato and mayo on our cheese stakes. After about 10 mins our food was ready and we went to where we were parked to check them out. These had so much meat, cheese, onions that we could tell it was going to be a challenge to eat these without making a mess. I wasn 't expecting the lettuce and tomato 's to just be sitting on top of it all but it didn 't look like there was any other option to put it. After waiting a couple of mins for them to cool down enough to pick them up and start. I took my first bite... WOW!!! these were good, there are some peppers in there that have a little bit of a kick. not so hot where it takes away from the flavor, but still pretty hot. (boarderline for us) The bread was hot and soft, there was a ton of meat and cheese and we were stuffed after we were done. The onion rings were awesome also! I think my quest for a killer cheese steak is complete, I now know that if I want a killer cheese steak we are heading to Phat Jerry 's!!!!"
