"We were really looking forward to the food, so we started with salads. They were decent—good, but definitely not memorable. I had a wedge salad with blue cheese, which was satisfactory. Unfortunately, the main courses were disappointing and quite costly. I ordered the tuna sashimi, which primarily requires good-quality tuna (and it was) and just a knife for preparation. My wife chose the lamb chops, priced at $80, but they turned out to be mostly fat and bone with very little meat. She expressed her dissatisfaction to the server, but he did nothing to address it.
Our guest for the evening had a small feedlot steak and said he enjoyed it. For side dishes, we had an uninspired au gratin, overcooked mushrooms, and some large onion rings that were quite nice. The total bill came to about $600, including two bottles of wine ($55 and $60).
The last steakhouse I visited was similar in style but offered better food, and that was four years ago. I think it will be at least that long before I consider returning to another steakhouse."
