"Angelo's was recommended to us by a family member who knows New York City and Italian food, and we were not disappointed. Despite being busy on the evening of 1/23/15, we had reservations and only had to wait a few minutes. The maitre d' was busy but still took the time to have a pleasant conversation with us. When he sat us down, I accidentally spilled my white wine on both him and myself. He reassured me that it wasn't a problem and even brought me another glass of wine. The dinner was incredible, with delicious calamari and bouillabaisse. As we were leaving, I thanked the maitre d' and he kissed me on both cheeks and hugged me, doing the same for my husband as well. This meal and experience set the tone for one of the best weekend trips we've had in New York City."
