"My first time in this restaurant to eat. The ambience is amazing inside and outside with views of the beach. Located in Long Branch NJ is a beautiful quiet, very relaxing place to be. I was there two weeks ago before the mess happened. The food is delicious and the service is good. The neighborhood is beautiful and very modern. A lot to do from hotel stay, shopping, eating and eating. It is a good place to spend your day."

"We took our daughter for her birthday. We felt very rushed from the moment we sat down. No water refill. 2 bread baskets was not enough for 10 people. Dinner came within 5 minutes of ordering. Food was excellent except for the chicken parmigiana was dry and over cooked. Waitrr disappeared after he took our food order and we had to ask another waiter for dessert. Disappointed."

"I wish I could say we had a 4-5 star rating but my sister, her daughter and I were outsiders who were unwelcome. When we got there, the host (on 6/24 at 8pm wearing a silver dangling earring on his left ear) didn't welcome us nor did he ask us for our name when my sister checked us in. He said, I'll just come outside when a table is ready (It was a rainy night and there were no umbrellas for shelter Maybe he had a photographic memory, I thought, but he took down everyone else's names; or maybe because we didn't have reservations he didn't want to write our names down, but he took the name down of a party of three who didn't have reservations. Nonetheless, my sister reassured us that we'd be seated and if we weren't called before the party after us then we should leave. You see, she had her daughter with us and she is the type to teach her daughter to treat others with respect until they show her they don't deserve respect. So we waited. But after the party after us was seated, she turned to her 19 year old daughter and said, If the party of three after the party after us without reservations is seated then we can leave Moments after she said that, the party of three without reservations was called BY NAME to be seated. So we left. In hindsight it was clear that everyone dining, and all those let in before and after us, were white. We weren't. (My niece is half white and my husbands is too. So having trust in this environment is second nature to us We were the only ones who walked in that night who were treated as if we were unwelcome poorly by the host wearing the silver dangling earring on his left ear (6/24 8pm). That host didn't want our names and made it clear that he had no intention of calling us to a table. We weren't welcome to be seated at Cucina Rustica and our journey to one of the most beautiful places we've admitted to seeing just before walking to this restaurant from the Hilton, just a stone's throw away from stunning red mountains, became untrusting and ugly. We felt defeated and we acknowledged that Cucina Rustica in Sedona casted a shadow on our trip. Thankfully, we were welcomed by Dellepiane further down in the plaza and the service was welcoming and warm. When we shared our experience with our hostess, her nonverbal response communicated it wasn't the first time she heard it. So, we resolved to leave big tips to our waiters during our trip who showed us just how beautiful Sedona could be. It's not just the scenery that graces us when we visit new places, but so too are the welcoming smiles and kind words. Sedona is filled with beauty and kindness, just not at Cucina Rustica. I should note that as we left, my sister was stopped by the host who asked with a smirk if we were sure we didn't want to continue to wait for a table. My sister replied that we wouldn't be staying as he had seated a number of groups who arrived after us before he had seated us. The host then feigned innocence by saying that each group had made reservations prior to arrival. The three of us recognized this to be a bold faced lie as we had overheard multiple (white) groups come in without reservations who had all been asked for their names and later retrieved by name by the same host who had refused to take ours. This lie solidified the fact that we were clearly discriminated against and were unwanted at Cucina Rustica. What was supposed to be a fun girls trip was quickly marred by the disappointing and dehumanizing treatment at Cucina Rustica. "We are so excited for lunch, but that changed very quickly. We walked into the restaurant and were completely ignored by the hostess. When I finally went up to her she looked at me up and down then stared at me with this annoyed face. I told the hostess we had a reservation and she told me they were short staffed and told me write my name down on this tablet on the hostess stand. I was excited to take my family to lunch, but they also witnessed the hostesses behavior. That was a horrible way to start the meal. The food was mediocre,tables were to close together, but we did have a very nice waitress. Unfortunately the damage had been done by the hostess. I would not recommend going here."

"The staff was very friendly, and made a good effort to get a seated reasonably on time for a show that evening. We ordered an appetizer , grilled octopus, which was tasty, not amazing because it was chopped w lots of filler . Unfortunately both dinner entrees were mediocre. My stuffed lobster tail was tiny with 1 tablespoon of stuffing. The lobster was undercooked. my husband’s veal was slightly over cooked. My vegetables were hard and undercooked. the linguine was done well. Disappointing."

"I met up with a group of friends for a ladies brunch at this restaurant. The service was excellent, with dedicated staff who were friendly and helpful. Our waitress even offered alternative options when we mentioned our dietary needs. The pace of the meal was just right - we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves without feeling rushed. The mojitos were delicious, especially the Apricot and Coconut flavors that I personally tried. The food was also very tasty overall. I had a positive experience and look forward to returning soon, possibly with the girls next time."

"Upon arrival we were quickly seated. Our waiter, I wish I remember his name, was very attentive. He came immediately to our table for drink orders. We were also brought some bread and butter very quickly, which was great as we were all starving. We ordered their house salad, which was delicious, it's very large too. I ordered the tagliatte, had shrimp in it and the broth was delicious. I will crave this meal. My husband and daughter ordered fettucine alfredo, which they just mentioned to the waiter, as it is not on the menu, the waiter said they would make it. Both of them really enjoyed their meals. I will definitely come back."

"Dinner was fantastic and came with four drinks for around $130, not including tip. The short ribs were excellent—truly some of the best I’ve ever had. I know, it’s surprising to order short ribs at an Italian restaurant, but they’re definitely worth a try! I’d order them again and again! My only suggestion would be to have more reduction sauce. The vodka pasta was rich and creamy—so good that I wished there were more of it. As for the cheesecake, I’d rate it an 8 out of 10. I usually make my own, so I have high standards, but this was a classic New York cheesecake. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, but still a good option for a restaurant. The sauce accompanying it was a little disappointing, but paired with something sweet, it worked well. A bonus point goes to our cheerful waiter, who made our Saturday night enjoyable with lots of laughter. Overall, I’d give it a 9 out of 10!"

"I have previously enjoyed Happy Hour in the bar area at a high top table Once this occasion I reserved thru Open Table a high top in bar area and upon being seated our server had to check with the bartender and the owner that we could not get Happy Hour drinks or food at our table and we had to sit at the bar This info should be stated on Open Table and posted at the restaurant Also please note that on a Friday at 5 pm the entire bar area was not crowded and remained that way for the next few hours"

"Delicious menu and food. Service was good though we could have used a few more visits from our waiter (we felt a little forgotten). "The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered family style. The Oktopus appetizer was perfectly prepared, delicate and grilled for perfection. The salads were delicious-all ingredients well played together. The fatuccine bolognese was perfect al dente and delicious. The della Nina pizze was the usual blur. Finally, the lamb was the best I ever had. We were so stuffed, we didn't think we could eat dessert, but we could eat every last piece. The waiting staff and the bus drivers were attentive without being obtrusive, and if you go a few times, they remember your preferences and food allergies. And they make it funny. It's like eating in a good friend home. All in all, great. I highly recommend"

"It's got to be one of the loudest restaurants in Orange County... the brick walls and the small tables make it very intimate and if you're into that type of a atmosphere it is great! I would recommend sitting at the bar... at least you can speak side by side and have a little conversation. But you will want to go here because the food is amazing... everything we tasted was fresh, high-quality, handmade and really delicious. Thinking back on the menu there are at least 12 things that I still have to go back and try. Think more red sauce southern Italian family-style then upscale northern and more refined dining."
