"kellner didn't seem to be crying around our table of 9s and dinning the other tables he had and she got fresh parmesan and we got shaker. he never asked if we wanted to drink more, and I was really disappointed because it was the graduate of my daughter and no employee said happy. and not a person offered to bring even a piece when cake or something to celebrate? will never go back! for $350 we deserved better"

"Ate here tonight with a friend, went around 6ish and there was a line at the door (because their food service is amazing). The line moved quickly and we got a table in less than 5 minutes. It was pretty busy but chips drinks came super quick. We ordered and got our food in less than 10 min. The quesabirria is my favorite and DELICIOUS. Service is amazing and they always have a cheerful attitude. Two meals, chips with queso, and one soda was $30! You can’t find many places with friendly faces and affordable delicious food. Thank you Victor Fuentes the staff for being my favorite spot in Pekin!Side note: they do several events foe the community and some nights a percentage of their sales go to local businesses. What a wonderful restaurant!"

"Overall a very good meal. Noise level was moderate but it is located across from the fire station. Trucks left twice with full siren and lights so that was loud but short lived. Started with the antipasti. Picked veg, roasted red pepper and some cheese and salami. Decent but not the best for the price. Saw someone else with caprese and had order regret. All our mains were very good. I had veal parm which was the best I’ve had in along time. Wife went with the table side cacio e pepe. Kind of a small room so hard to see inside the park wheel but taste was excellent. My son had the gnocchetti. He enjoyed it but the large pieces of tomatoes were overpowering. His date had the carbonara and enjoyed it as well. One pet peeve is charging individually for a Diet Coke that is on tap. $4 ea for something that cost less than a dollar is outrageous. A great place located at the far end of Hanover street so less crazy. Tip. You can use the valet at Strega if you can’t find parking."

I was very impressed by the ambiente. the old building with brick facade and open, irradiated deck. the waiting staff was attentive and did not denounce our party of five what I guess. we wanted to eat Italian and we have it! each of us enjoyed our meals and drinks very much, and desserts too. it is not cheap, so it is a special purpose."

"I went here for Trap and Paint this past Sunday (2/20). The event was nice but I’m not sure I will go back to this venue. The event was only 2 hours, but I hadTo stand in line literally 25 minutes to get a drink. Only bout three people ahead of me. They told me they only had house stuff for the drinks, I don’t do cheap distilled liquor mixes lol so that would be a no....I asked for a double shot of 1800 and the cashier told me$17....gtfoh. I didn’t buy that. I ended up getting my house liquor blue motorcycle and went about my business. I didn’t enjoy it tho. I only got it cuz I wasted so much time in line, I wanted a drink smh. You’re better off gettin drunk right before the trap n paint lollllAlso idk the bartenders name but she was kinda stank, letting ppl stand near the bar waiting for her to engage us, and not letting us know that we had to get in line. Jus walking past us like we didn’t exist.If they have Trap and Paint somewhere else I’ll go again but this place was kinda trash for overcharging and wastin all that time."

"The service was excellent but wish I could say the food was better. The arugula salad was very good! We ordered the lasagna and bronzino. The fish and spinach was good but the fish with sauce was cold. Even the sauce was coagulated from sitting. I wrapped it to go. The lasagna was cold and tasteless. Had much better elsewhere. "I was really impressed by laredo. I came here for dcvfa restaurant week and was impressed that she was a fully vegan menu. the thing that stood most was how tasteful the dishes were. we had a very creative filled zucchini still some delicious portabella fajitas. it is really nice when dishes are clearly designed with ingress of vegans. the filled zucchini had wonderfully seasoned marinated tofu cubes in it, the protein added to go with all these delicious vegetables. to make the dinge even better, our server juan was like the most beautiful person ever and so friendly. he definitely made the whole experience even more upbeat. I will definitely recommend laredo and look forward to going back!"

"I think the food is good. First visit I had Nachos with a mango water. The Second time time had 8 tacos 2 of each kind. It was all right and I was ok with the inflated price since inflation is just going up. The problem I have was the service was slow even though the place was practically emty the second time I came in. The first time service was more or less on point. The other problem I have is that they charge an 18% service charge and they seem to still want you to tip. I usually tip minimum $5 to 20-25% base on service so if I tipped them like I usually do it would be an 38-43% tip. Why not just raise the menu prices again by 18% to make up the difference that way people don't feel like they're double tipping? The food was good though complaments to the chef. Need to get pricing model correct without compromising quality of food or employee satisfaction."
