"We've been regulars there for many months, ever since Covid closures ended. Mostly we came as a party of 4, accompanied by my perfectly behaved service dog. Food and service were great, and prices reasonable. Tonight all of that ended, permanently. A server objected to my dog, claiming they transmit Covid. Then the chef-owner came out demanding to know what service the dog performed, and then demanding that I furnish a printed certificate. When advised that his demands were a direct violation of the American Disability Act, he left and returned a few minutes later, stating that a printed certificate would be required for any future visits. He then demanded that I put my phone down (which displayed a copy of the ADA that he refused to look at) before ordering. He subsequently served us food that was not up to par, omitted the usual cheeses that are provided to guests, and delayed and shorted us on the usual complementary after dinner drinks. Finally, they overcharged us for the meals. I am submitting a complaint to the US Justice Dept. And we will definitely never return. What a shame. He's a talented chef, but a lousy host and a foolish businessman."
