"I went to this restaurant tonight, only three people and I. four people in total. the first thing that went wrong was that I waited an hour for a table in an empty restaurant. I let that go because eating here is really good and the service is really good. but the worst thing I can imagine happened, our food was undercooked, the outside looks really good, but inside it was raw. I told the server that this happened. listen, our server, tried their best to help us, and even the food runner tried to help. the manager went to us and said you were happy now. I don't know what he meant. then I asked, and he told me I should go that my kind of people should not be here. I insulted. yes I am gay, yes, I wore a cultivation top, but I don't need a manager to tell me that. he also checked me all night and I could say he was because he was in the bar for a minute and looked up and down. I asked my server his name and she said it mike, I think that's correct. I hope the lgbt community will help me boycott this restaurant until mike is removed."

"Richmond Va speakeasy bar.. This is a Speakeasy Seriously. They have a password that changes all the time. It's disguised as a book store, but with a pull on the tall bookshelves, it opens into a large period correct , prohibition era cocktail lounge and restaurant. The selection of spirits is full of rare whiskeys and bourbons. Small batch runs from small high end distilleries. "Overall, this restaurant was okay. We like trying new places and wanted to give this themed restaurant a shot. We walked in to the bookstore and knew to wait for the hostess. She stayed in theme and was very friendly and fun and loved that we had and used the password and said we were the first people to use it in days. Speakeasy... password... DUH. We came early to sit at the bar, which the restaurant obliged, and had a few cocktails. The cocktails were excellent, the bruschetta was mediocre and not worth $8-9. The weirdest part at the bar was that we sensed tension between the bartenders and servers. I’m not sure what that was about but my husband and I looked at each other and noticed immediately. After our cocktails, we sat at our table. Our server was not warm, nor overly friendly. Granted, we had sat at the bar for a little while but as soon as we sat at our dinner table, she asked us what we wanted to order. We did not partake in salads or more appetizers and immediately ordered entrees, both of which were pretty good, although the pricing seemed off on the one my husband had due to portion size. The ambiance is fine, but if they’re going to call themselves a Speakeasy, it needs to be bigger and just... more. More decor, more theme, something. I don’t really regret trying G&S, but I probably won’t go back to the OBX location. Stick to the classic seafood spots you know and love when in Nags Head, KDH, and Kitty Hawk!"

"Great experience! We had been following this restaurant for some time on Insta and knew we had to order everything. We were seated at a small table and after ordering we realized we needed more space so they kindly moved us to a booth without reservations. Everything was delicious! Music in the background was on point! It is pretty loud so if you’re looking for a quiet place, this is not the one! Can’t wait to be back!"

"an angry employee almost ruined our dinner. they now have a huge tent on the parking lot and it started to crash when we arrived. we were placed at the rande of the tent and the waterfall that came from the tent hit the table and us. We pulled the table in a foot and almost immediately we were accelerated by a hostess called lisa verbal. she was hectic and talked very quickly that we had to withdraw our table in the rain and if we didn't like it, we could go. "Very unique hybrid layout design never feels stale.The menu gives off that upscale starbucks feel inna good way with the open window view next to the bar and auditorium style seating/setting for the world news projector that also drops down from its half atrium onto the main floor of merchandise mart.The food goes from the clichéd to death yogurt parfait to poké bowls, they got a little bit of everything in a very off the wall local filled with other places with more detailed menu like Merchandise Mart, Marshall's Landing has found a way to create a unique soothing lounge eatery in one of the busiest buildings in the city and I love it.Need more menu copies though."

"I stopped drinking a coffee and doing a little work. Unfortunately, this location has no wlan, that was the only disadvantage at all. I had the sweet potato biscuits. they were amazing! warm, fluffy and delish with homemade jam. the coffee was also excellent and the service was very good. I hope to return some time and enjoy a meal, relax and not worry about the work. I would have given five stars if it had been Wi-Fi, although it is probably not something that should affect my decision. I'm looking forward to the return. great atmosphere and good food."

"I took my daughters to Provence Marinaside Oct 22. We were enjoying a girls weekend and this restaurant finished our weekend off in style. The food was excellent,everything was prepared to our specifications, veggies were fresh and it all had wonderful flavour. We were blown away by the service, it was a real team working together to make sure all patrons were happy, wine and water was filled, requests were answered immediately. It was my daughters birthday and there was no hesitation as to bring her a special dessert! We were all very impressed with the whole experience. I would not hesitate to go again. Could have been a bit quieter but all in all was a fantastic evening! Thankyou for giving us a great evening!!"

"The food at the Ranch House is consistently delicious and the view is amazing!! However, it can get rather loud on the patio with some disrespectful groups and we have had our meal interrupted on several occasions by dogs with inattentive owners (repeated barking, begging at our table, etc). While we have experienced very good to exceptional service on most visits, there are particular servers who are VERY poor. We have now learned to request tables away from some servers, as the poor service has a measurable impact on our enjoyment of the meal."

"Had a wonderful experience at Midnight Iris! Our server, Doris, was very attentive and made us feel right at home. We also found out that the kitchen had an all-female staff and the recipes were homemade. Highly recommend the chicken nuggets and pretzels for an appetizer.
