"We had reservations for 7:30 on a recent Saturday evening. We arrived at 7:16. The hostess asked us to give her 10 minutes. That was not a problem. We found 2 seats at the bar and got a drink. Matt, the bartender asked us if we wanted menus and we told him that we had reservations. He told us that we were welcome to stay the bar if we wished. We kept watching the hostess as she walked past us several times but never told us that our table was ready. It is a very small restaurant and we were able to see from our seats at the bar that there were at least two 2 tops open. People who came in after us were ultimateley seated at those places. We just watched in amusement. It actually became a game to see if she was ever going to seat us at a table. The bartenders were awesome so we just decided to have dinner at the bar. It was at 8:05, almost an hour after we arrived, when I went up to the hostess stand and told her that we had just decided to eat at the bar. She asked me what time my reservations were for and I told her 7:30 and when we arrived at 7:16 you told us it would only be 10 minutes . She was frazzled and didn 't even apologize. I didn 't get the impression that the staff was thrilled with her either. She approached 2 employees while they were waiting on drinks at the bar and we watched them roll their eyes at her as she walked away. They were justified in their eye rolls. We found the whole experience funny but we probably would not have if there were not two seats at the bar and we were forced to stand for that long waiting on a table. The food was awesome and the bartenders made the experience even better. Besides the hostess, our dinner and bar experience was fabulous."

"This is the first restaurant that I?ve reviewed where giving five stars was not enough. Not only did we have amazing food, not only was the atmosphere cool and comfortable, not only did the bartender nail my Old Fashioned making it one of the best everbut the staff treated us better than any other restaurant we?ve ever been to. Our wait-person was Nija and she was wonderful.Friendly, outgoing, funny and efficient. Such good service that made us feel so welcome that I felt like we were coming therefor years. Nate was the Sous Chef who visited us several times to make sure everything was done right and to our satisfaction. Well, needless to say, it was. The food: Let?s start with my breakfast sandwich which was bacon, scrambled eggs, arugula andcheddar on an everything croissant. I inhaled it. Fantastic. We had homemade tater tots which now has spoiled me so I don?tknow if I can go back to the usual ones you get. Fresh and crispy on the outside and nice and mushy on the inside. My daughterhad the fish and chips which were top notch. My wife went for the grilled cheese made with apple butter. The slight sweetnessthat the apple butter added put it over the top and made it much better than your ordinary grilled cheese. For desert we hadthe deep fried Oreos which were amazing. The experience was one of the best we?ve ever had, maybe the best. Get your butt overto this restaurant as soon as you can."
