"I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 10 years and have always had great experiences until my most recent visit this week. When I arrived, I noticed that the menu and staff looked different. The prices and offerings had changed so much that I was unsure of what to order, so I ended up getting everything a la carte. I ordered a whole chicken with white rice and red beans. While the staff were checking the chickens on the spit, they found a very small, dry one that they didn't know what to do with. They set it aside as if it would be used to make soup, discussing what to do with it. I went across the street to grab a slice of pizza while I waited for my order, which was said to take about 10 minutes. When I returned, my order was packed, but was missing the rice and beans. I also tried to purchase a bottle of the mojito sauce that I usually get, but the lady at the counter didn't even know about the bottles. Instead, I settled for two mini ramekins for $1. I paid for my food and drove back to Brooklyn. To my surprise, when I opened the container of chicken at home, I found the little dried-up chicken that the staff didn't know what to do with. I was extremely upset. It seemed like they had passed off the unwanted chicken onto me, assuming that I did not speak or understand my second language (their eyes bulged when I spoke to another customer as I left). The rice was undercooked and lacked the usual flavor that this place is known for, as were the beans. I paid $25 for what? I hope the original owners and staff return to help this crew with quality control, or they may continue to lose customers. I will not be making the drive from Brooklyn for this kind of disrespect again."
