"Visit spring My first visit here was great. The waitress was very attentive and the food was great. No complaints.Visit Fall My girlfriend and I decided to come again. We had a horrific experience. We were stuck with one of the worst waitresses I have ever met. Her name is Michelle. She rarely checked in on our table despite being only one of people in the dining area. She spent most of her night working the room as she described it. This was basically her attempt to flirt with a table of something men. She reeked of alcohol and slurred her words at times. There were a few crumbs on our table that we barely noticed. But Michelle did apparently. So she proceeded to blame the mistake on a young lady who was bussing tables. She called her an idiot in front of my girlfriend and I then scolded the young lady in front of the entire dining room. At the end of the meal we asked for a check and presented a gift certificate. Michelle took this as an opportunity to remind us, to our faces, that we are required to tip on the full amount. Visit Jan We decided to give the place one more try, praying that Michelle would not be working. Sadly she was, but we decided to give it a try anyway. Instead of a greeting, Michelle ran up to our table and told us that she would barely be able to wait on us because she had too many tables. Here we go again I thought! We rushed through the menu and gave her our orders hoping that we would see it come out in a timely manner. The food came out late about mins later for a pasta and meat dish. Michelle missed our salads. No big deal. But instead of admitting it up front, Michelle stated times that she brought them. Eventually she relented and admitted the mistake. Much like our last visit, Michelle quickly blam"

"We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant."
