"I live in the DMV area and NOTHING comes close to the authentic flavor of this place. I grew up in Trinidad and Tobago, it's really hard to find good Carribbean restaurants. I've tried a couple in the DMV area and it's disappointing every time. Overly expensive, not authentic, bland, small portions. This restaurant is a little on the pricey side but not as much as the restaurants in DMV. You get what you pay for: the food is well seasoned, the portions are massive, and the family that runs this restaurant are so kind. Curry goat is my favorite dish, if you're to judge a Carribbean dish, it would be the curry. It was so flavorful, and goat is hard to cook, not everyone can do it right but their goat was cooked to tender perfection. I also ordered their oxtail and beef patties (they didn't have any fresh, so I bought their frozen patties). The oxtail was just as tender as the goat and the beef patties were flaky, also, the plantains on the side were to die for. I loved everything about this place, it reminded me of my home country. I wish I lived closer but I am glad I happened upon this place by attending a festival nearby. Hopefully I'll be visiting in their area in the future, I would definitely make this a necessary stop."
