"Came here on a gloomy, cloudy day and it was the perfect dose of comfort food. This place has been around since 1904 doles out classic Sicilian dishes. My friend whose colleague recommended we come here suggested the squid salad, octopus salad sardine pasta. These were all excellent dishes and a the sardine pasta has a unique, balanced flavor that I somehow crave now even though I don't like sardines usually. We also added classic spaghetti bolognese pork chops to satiate ourselves. Definitely suggest doing this family style sharing because how can you not want to sample the abundant menu. "I have visited this restaurant 3 or 4 times and I love the Sicilian cuisine in Gravesend. Every time I have dined there, I have ordered the pasta con sarde and it is always delicious. My father enjoyed the old school casual atmosphere as well. We also tried the panelle sandwich, which was mouth-watering. I can't wait to go back and try it again."

"took my grandson there for lunch, um, no lunch, just breakfast served today…1/1/2 hrs later a breakfast sandwich that would have taken anyone 3 minutes to serve was served with stale potato chips!!! Plus with the check came their already added in tip…tell me how that tip is even deserved? Never again, or anyone else I know will ever eat there again. By the way the breakfast sandwich was cold!"

"The place is a typical Coney Island. Reminded me of the hundreds I grew up around in Detroit area. I love the food, the staff, and just the atmosphere. If you are a complex, picky, stuffy, and non down to earth person then go somewhere else. Yet if you love to have good food good fun and have it affordable. Zefs is your spot.
