"I'd LOVE to write a review for this new restaurant. My wife and I decided to go there for our son's birthday. So I went online, tried to make reservations, and saw that Open Table was offering reservations for the restaurant. So I booked a table for four, got a confirmation, and on the day of our visit, got a confirmation email. Problem is, THIS RESTAURANT DOES NOT USE Open Table for reservations, and had NO idea we were coming. The owner explained that people show up expecting to be seated, and he has no idea they are coming because he's never signed up with Open Table. My son's birthday dinner was ruined, as we were forced to scramble around, on a rainy night, to find somewhere to eat. It was NOT how we wanted our evening to go, and are NOT happy about it. You see, Open Table is booking tables without the permission of some restaurants. This is a scam marketing technique, trying to pressure restaurants into using their service, and it is reprehensible. I've emailed Open Table and they have not responded, further evidence that they are slimy. I won't use their service ever again."
