"This is one of the best places to eat in San Jose. I'm not saying that they are a 5 star restaurant that will awe you with their incredible atmosphere. On the contrary, they are a small unassuming spot in a strip mall where every dish and each person welcomes you in with comfort and genuine flavor. On top of that, they have an entire counter full of beautiful and delicious sweets.I am not an expert in cuisine from India, so I can't tell you which region their menu best represents but over the few years I've had to enjoy this place I've noticed that a very large percentage of their clients are Indian. So they must be doing something right in terms of authenticity.Thankfully they truly seem intent on spreading the love of their cuisine with anyone that walks through the door. The staff is knowledgeable and graciously patient with all questions about the menu.Normally I would break down the meal we just had here but it honestly does not matter. If you enjoy Indian cuisine or are curious about it, come here.Vegetarian options: There is a great selection of vegetarian dishes. The Vegetable Biryani is delicious.Parking: This is a strip mall. There is a great deal of parking, but you might need to cross a bit of parking lot to get to the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a Wheelchair accessible ramp up onto the sidewalk very close to the entrance. There are a few tables in he center of the restaurant that can be set up for people with limited mobility.Dietary restrictions: They are very good about answering questions concerning ingredients and substitution when possible."

"I absolutely love Zaika. My boyfriend and I eat there regularly and sometimes order delivery when we're feeling lazy. The food is consistently delicious no matter what we order, and the staff is so pleasant and friendly. They even recognize us as regulars, and always make sure we are happy and comfortable. "Truly authentic Indian cuisine serving Halal/Zabihah meat in a homey setting. Their food was absolutely delicious, specifically the Chicken Tikka Masala. Also make sure to order some fresh Naan, rice, and try their Lassi: a traditional yogurt blended smoothie-like delight. The peach Lassi is our favorite! However, expect to spend 1-2 hours here (during dinner hours) as the kitchen is a bit slow preparing your fresh meal and the service is extremely slow. Our server visited us once in the 40 minutes we sat down at our table and that was just to take our order. They had food runners who brought us water and part of our food, but we had to flag our waitress down for the second half of our food. (Saturday 8:30pm) Others have also noticed this poor service during dinner time (even with a reservation) so I would recommend visiting on a weeknight or early on the weekend, around 6 pm for an authentic Indian experience!"

"I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. Recently, I have observed changes in the dishes I typically order. The chicken mikhani now contains fewer chicken pieces, which are in strips rather than cubes, and there seems to be more sauce than before. The Rogan Josh sauce has also changed, as it is now watery instead of creamy."

"This place has great food, but now I rarely get to enjoy it now that the lunch buffet is gone. I loved stopping in for the lunch buffet during work. Now that there?s no buffet and no lunch menu or specials it?s not possible for me to enjoy my favoritedishes. I typically come alone, but now the servings are too large for me and I?m not able to get my leftovers in a fridge soonenough. So instead of paying $13 for a lunch buffet, my check is now $7 because I get full off one appetizer. Hopefully they getthe buffet back or at least get some lunch specials going or else I don?t know when I?ll be back."

"India Palace was my introduction to Indian cuisine almost 20 years ago, and I am immediately in love. Unfortuenty I moved out of the area and had no chance to stop for many years. Yesterday evening we found ourselves in the old neighborhood, and safe enough the palace is still there. Much can change in all these years, and honestly, I'm sure some things have. But the food was still the best Indian I could ever enjoy, and the staff was as attentive and efficient as ever. Seriously, if you're somewhere near and in the mood for Indians, you have to fall in here and be amazed."

"First off, the food was okay. We had Saag Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masala, along with Naan and rice. The rating of stars is the wait staff. Upon entering, I mentioned we had the reservation. They kept saying that we didn't need to make a reservation. Then when it came time to order, they kept pushing more of the appetizers, naan and rice. We said okay to a second serving of rice and then ended up taking it home. We also had a discount for the second entree which they did not honor. Too many other choices in the City for Indian food. Pick another restaurant other than this one"

"All the food is very fresh..service seems a little slow but probably because they're actually cooking your order, so it's worth the wait! They have other fruit lassis other than mango (strawberry, banana) which are yummy and worth trying. The veg pakodas have the perfect crisp and the veg momos are quite delicious as well. The naans are baked fresh which isnt always the case in many indian restaurants. Overall value for price is very good. Would come back!"

"Do not eat here. It's unsanitary. I've eaten at Clay Oven over a dozen times, and it used to be a semi-weekly go-to. That ended when I found a dead cockroach in my food. Please read their food health inspection history on the department of public health's website—they've had 3 violations for insects and rodents in the past year and a half, and were forced to close in June 2022 due to so many infractions. Avoid."

"We placed a catering order for a birthday party. We ordered Morog Polao, Mutton Rezala, Chinese Mixed Vegetable, Shingara, Borhani, and Rosomalai. The food was exceptionally delicious with pure Bangladeshi flavor. All our guests loved the food and asked about this place. We always crave for good quality Bangladeshi food with good taste. "Love this place, the curries are great and the naans are really good. Good curries are hard to find in San Francisco! For the reviews about bad service our server was great but we did run dry on drinks. When our food came to the table it was pretty much thrown out and we had no idea what was what. BUT, it wasn't that bad and the food was amazing. We how're a group of 5 and we had curries, rice naan, apps, tandori platter, sides and beers and it was under $50 per head with tip."
