"The Nugget Saloon is a must visit to make your visit to Deadwood complete. Very low key friendly atmosphere with classic Pop/Rock filling the room, perhaps a bit on the loud side. I asked for an Old Fashioned cocktail and was told that the Smoked Old Fashioned was a signature drink of the the bar and was far superior to the common version. Sure enough, the bartender pulled out a piece of cherry wood then ignited it with a propane torch right on the bar and let the inverted glass soak up the smoke for a minute or two before completing the drink. Yes indeed it was quite tasty and that 's the only way I would want it at The Nugget Saloon on my next visit."

"Tripp and Sarah are the absolute best. This is our first time in Deadwood and The Nugget was our first bar. The Bloody Mary’s are the best I’ve ever had. Tripp makes his own Mix. A must stop in your Deadwood Journey!"
