"We were there for Valentine’s Day our reservation was from 8:15pm. The food is good is not something to die for, but it was good. The people were really kind and helpful but everything finish there. I think our server forgot about us.. we were waiting forever for every single meal it doesn’t matter what was it.. we got our appetizers before our bread with butter. When I ask for the bread he was like “Ohh you never got it?” Like he is not our server.. he supposed to know.. 30 min After us, two more couples came. They got their meals before us.. When we order our steaks I order mine Medium, my boyfriend order his Medium-Well after 45 min waiting for our steaks My boyfriend got his Rare and we switched them because he can’t eat rare meat and on the top of everything they were ice cold.. Our server took them again to preheat them and it took us 10 more min of waiting.. After two and half hours of our reservation time we just got our main meal and we order our desserts for take out because we knew that will take forever.. I order for myself cheesecake with berries and when I opened the box at home I was really disappointed my cheesecake was exactly like someone just trow it in this box .. everything was messy.. Overall not worth it the money even if the food is good not worth it to wait 3 and maybe more hours for one dinner.."

"My boyfriend and I love to try different restaurant all over the world every time we got the chance, we been to the best restaurant here in New York Bouley, my fave, Le Bernardin, daniel, Morimoto etc. and decided to celebrate our 1st New Years dinner locally at 42, made reservation at the early time availability which is 5:30 pm or the 9:30 pm coz that the availability on the open table. So we got seated with the host and the place was pretty empty and didnt have the skyline view, come to find out they change the restaurant set up , the used to be bar now was the restaurant and the old restaurant with the the view now function as the events room. so we stayed and then we decided to do the 6 course meal so we can try more things, you have to pick you apps, pasta, entree and dessert and the waiter said that the 2 other course would be chef 's choice appetizer and dessert. the first course that the waiter said came, the chef 's choice; its a sorbet with 2 kinds of fish roe orange color and black and some dehydrated green vegetable, come to find out its the amuse bosche that they served to all the tables wether you pick the 6 course meal or ala carte, followed with my choice of appetizer which is the crudo of cod which i liked and he got octopus dry then pasta course i got the egg yolk ravioli had he have the potato then entree i had duck and he have the steak which is okay then "d ' ' chef 's choice dessert came and it was another sorbet, quince sorbet with full of cheese after cheese, i mean parmesan slices then on top is grated parmesan then quince sorbet then toasted parmesan on top, to be fair the quince sorbet i did liked it then my choice of dessert it was the New Macau came with little of crumble sponge cake topped with sorbet bigger than the sponge cake and 16 drops of some syrup with violet flowers, as if it is a sorbet dessert, for the $95.00 per person they charged is not worth it! Too bad were not coming back nor recommending it to our foodie friends."

"after they have heard so many good things from friends, family and colleagues. my friend and I have a reservation for 8 o'clock last Saturday. coming to the restaurant was crazy. the cars are broken up for two blocks to get in the drops. we finally came in and they had our reservation, but we ask ourselves to wait for the cash. this place was to the gils. everywhere where wand folks. they sit us in a relatiw quiet in comparison to zoo everywhere around) and our server was freddy. he was very friendly and professional. they brought fresh baked bread and it was amazing. I ordered hamachi nigiri as an appetizer and I must say it was good, but not great. maybe my mistake to get sushi on a steak. our escapes were: gf- 8oz filet and I had the tomahawk ribeye. my came with framed spinat, then we ordered crab fried rice and mushrooms. gf said the mushrooms were excellent, but we both agreed that the rice was average. we are addicted to eddie vs cfr. my steak was good, but not good for the money $140.) the tomahawk at del friscos beats. the act of my gf was the best she ever had. unnecessary to say we have a lot of eating with a piece of carrot cake 4-layer.) it was huge! bottomline- this meal was $450 with lace. we had some drinks too. the amount paid for the quality was not worth much. I can be as good as a meal with better atmosphere for much less money at eddie vs or del frisco."
