"This was my first time dining here, and it definitely won't be my last. The food was incredibly delicious. For starters, we ordered the potatoes with white sauce, followed by the black truffle angel hair pasta and pesto gnocchi. The service was excellent, and the staff was kind enough to help us celebrate my sister's birthday. The outdoor seating area is also very charming."

"Excellent food and service. My first time here. I ordered the special Bronzino dinner. It was beautiful and delicious but a little spicy for my taste. Without hesitation the waiter insisted they make me another which was perfect! I’m dairy and gluten free and delicious food is hard to find in many restaurants. I was also thrilled with the lemon sorbet artfully plated with a currant sauce. And sipped my peppermint tea for a relaxing ending. Definitely coming back!"

"I have dined here many times and this is my first disappointing visit. The atmosphere and service were outstanding. This time, however, the food was disappointing. The mussels and clams appetizer was excellent, but the chicken Caesar salad my date ordered was pathetic in portion size and presentation. My braciolle and tagliatelle dish was unimpressive in looks and taste. The meat was extremely dry. The sauce was thick and lacked any real flavor. I’m not sure what happened this night, but it was a first date and left me feeling like I made a poor choice for it."

"One of the best restaurants in NYC and that is no joke. I'm shocked that it doesn't have all 5.0 star reviews, but I'm starting to believe yorkers give a low score to keep tourists away. Homemade, fresh, complex, unique, and lick the plate delicious. Best part is that it is reasonably priced, a steal for new York. I'll be coming back whenever I get a chance."

"We have enjoyed almost every dish we have ever ordered here after three visits, usually having taken guests for their first time. Our reservation was for 6:30 and the restaurant was a little more than half full when we arrived. It seems to run a pretty consistent 85% of capacity during peak times. The food is generally much better than the average red sauce Italian joint. The service is however; challenging to describe it charitably, with little order to the process and long periods of being ignored during all phases of the meal. It appears that two servers are insufficient for peak times here and until that situation is remedied we will only come at off peak times, meaning seldom."

"This used to be one of my favorite places to have lunch, but the quality has gone down over the past few years. I mean, it's not a bad place, but it was once much better than it is today. The food quality is noticeably less palatable than it was when I used to live out here. I wish the staff paid more attention to their surroundings, because I had to repeatedly ask for my waiter, but he was too busy talking to another one. I have enough good memories of this place to say that I would definitely come back, but I expect the management to inculcate into their wait staff a better appreciation of their customers."

"Whether you go for lunch or dinner during the week or the Sunday buffet, the food is always great and reasonably priced. The Christmas Eve buffet was fantastic. An all-you-can-eat buffet with prime rib for only $30 including non-alcoholic drink and dessert. Definitely the best deal in town. Their New Year's Eve brunch buffet will also be at the regular price of $30."
