"We have been to the Dundee location a few times and my work has gotten take out from this location (the first time I ever had it) Still one of my favorite Mexican restaurants around. This was the first time we have been to the Palatine location. it doesn't look like much on the outside or inside but the food is great. Service was quick and attentive, it was later on a week night and there was only a few other tables filled. I love their black beans, I think they are the best I have ever had and the cilantro rice is excellent as well. Since we have noit been in a long time I didn't deviate from things I had and love. The 3 taco platter with One Wild Mushroom, Queso Fresco and Relleno Taco. All were just so good, the Queso Fresco with the carnalized cheese alvacado and elote is just a stunning taco. I really love this place and this location is as good as the Dundee location. Dont pass on it"

"I came home from the operation and torn up real tacos. Not many places were opened by the Taco Bell before 9:00, and thought we would try this place after we found it on the Dash door. We have 3 orders from Tacos (Steak and chorizo-boiled PERFECTLY) and a sequence of cheerfulnesses and I can honestly say that this was some of the most delicious, authentic food I had outside Mexico. The owners were extremely responsive to Instagram with questions. The only complaint I would have (which is not an error for the resturant) wished that the "Order online" menu was somewhat more descriptive, but the online menu has deleted all discrepancies. Taqueria Los Gringos has a customer for life when you are looking for authentic Mexican food! Can't wait to try more!!!"

"This restaurant has a terrible delivery service. The driver left my food on the ground and after waiting for half an hour to eat, I called the restaurant to check on my order. They claimed that the driver had spoken to me and that I told him to leave the food at the door, which is not true. I waited for my order for an unknown amount of time. When I asked for a refund, they hung up the phone on me. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service as a customer."

"Ok, so the wait wasnt bad. Annnnnnnnnnd thats the highlight. We ordered tacos and nachos... to err on the side of caution and they both werent great. The tacos were dry, full of onions, had no flavor at all and the dip included lacked flavor aswell. The nachos were huge I was so excited until I realized it was COVERED in sour cream AND. ONIONS! there wasnt an option to take it off, so I figured, they would put it on the side (sour cream) Nope Ive never had so much sour cream AND ONION on anything. So yeah... that was a bummer. My boyfriend tried to eat them, but mainly because we were hungry "TRIED" So, if you want quantity over quality this is the spot for you. If you want good Mexican food, move on, theres nothing to see here."
