"Manhattan's Best Mexican. Well, the internet reviews of this UWS Mexican dive all looked good so I finally decided to jump in. Glad I did. This Mexican food is way authentic and incredibly delicious, too! <br/ <br/ I have to admit, I just got take out the first time, but when I brought it home and ate it, it was the bombs! I downloaded a menu and called their . <br/ <br/ From what I'd read, it seemed like they might be slow so I called and ordered off the downloaded menu before I left. By the time I got in the car, picked up some beer at 95 Columbus and cruised up from 70 to 107, they had all my stuff waiting for me in a nice tidy bundle. 20 minutes. <br/ <br/ The carne enchilada taco was loaded with very tasty meat. I was quite satisfied, lots of cilantro and onion, too. The sope shell was kind of stale, but when you let the juices flow into it, these sopes are great beneath their meat, romaine and crema toppings. The carnitas on the sope could have been fried a little crisper though. Best of all however, was the torta. It was mega meat filled and had all of the ingredients that make a torta a torta! They also load on the mayo which is what I like and again, there is SO MUCH meat! I'll order a torta from here any day. <br/ <br/ Looked very crowded when I went there, but was fine for take out. On off hours it's really easy to snag a table. <br/ <br/ I've since been back many times for tacos, alambres, chilaquiles and many more excellent, authentic Mexican fare and I can quite confidently state this is the best Mexican in Manhattan and right here on the UWS to boot!"
