"We got garlic naan with mint chutney, boti tikka masala (lamb), chicken tikka masala. The customer service, environment, and food d wonderful as always. I have visited this restaurant probably forty times altogether. The food is always consistent day or night. Buffet is served only parts of the days, and even that is very well maintained."

"This is my first time writing a review for any service. I want to take the time to say this place is horrible because of the owner nitin. This used to be our go to restaurant up until a year ago on our anniversary June 15th. We even had our baby shower party at this restaurant. Last year we ordered takeout food for our anniversary dinner and they forgot about our order and when my dad got there our food was not ready. My dad waited for 38 mins and they sent us home with uncooked paneer and all dishes were made in a hurry so was missing masalas and did not taste as usual. When we called nitin he was so rude and did not even care to make it up to us instead he spent 45 mins arguing with us calling us liars and said that his chefs never make a mistake. Customer service is really bad and nitin is extremely unprofessional and money hungry. He does not care if you are a loyal customer or a new customer he is not looking to make his customers happy. Since last year we have been ordering from samudrha and moghul express twice a week and have been especially impressed with samudhra's excellent service. Both samudhra and moghul express have excellent food as well and they are close to spice rack."

"We had a after Thanksgiving family dinner at Yellow Chilli. The menu and food selections are different from what other Indian restaurants are offering. The best selection we made was the choices of appetizers. They were presented very well and they tasted excellent. The only one suggestion would be to close out the section where this restaurant usually has big gatherings and parties. The party that was going on was extremely noisy with loud music which is not very appealing when you are together with family to enjoy a nice quiet dinner"

"Delicious food, impeccable service, and a back room that was perfect for a group of 22 British expats who know/miss a good curry. Our thanks to Sunny and team for a perfect night out. We appreciate that food is cooked to order and served to preference, which provided time to enjoy your lovely starters over conversation. Thank you for permitting us to linger (pre and post meal) at the bar. We'll definitely return to our neighbourhood favourite!"

"It is pretty good and fresh, but like all the Indian buffets on Pioneer it will never be the India restaurant. PROS: 1. Food is quite well-trusted and tastes less fatty than most other buffets. 2. At only $8.99 for an AYCE lunch buffet, it is quite a steal. 3. Price includes well drinks. Of course, water and ice tea are available for those who do not drink limes. 4. Good / friendly service. 5. Goats Curry is good – not too playful. 6. Plain and/or garlic na’an comes fresh, tasty and hot. 7. Plenty of parking. CONS: 1. Dessert section is lack. They have cheese balls and carrot pudding, but no fresh fruit or sweet yogurts. 2. Only 2 types of Chutney available: mint and acidic/salted veggie. 3. I found a little hair in my goat protein. It's not a big deal, but I can just be good without the additional “protein. ‘"

"Visited this restaurant today (Jan 3, 2014) and the very helpful staff prepared vegan food for all four of us 2 adults and a 9 12 year old. We ordered chana masala, a vegan version of their kids all in one' meal, dal soup, potato paratha and Bombay aloo. The chana masala was excellent, the dal good and the all in one' kids meal very good VFM. The Bombay potato was a disappointment because they used canned potatoes! The paratha was so tasty we ordered a second. Prices were $10-$15 an entree, a little high for the lower quality ingredients. This might explain the high use of salt! All-in-all a pleasant enough experience in an area short of good vegan restaurants. Sundays they have a vegetarian lunch buffet."

"Impromptu late lunch with kids 8 and 10 years old. The waitress was patient with us and allowed extra time to help kids decide what they would like. We all loved our food! Thank you for a great meal!"

"Great food. I had the butter chicken pizza. Would have liked a little more of the sauce but the flavor was great. The naan crust was super soft and flavorful. Also had some of the mint cilantro lime sauce with shared appetizer (65 chicken and samosas). I don’t like mint but couldn’t taste and and again very good flavor. Highly recommended. Be warned it is Indian food made by Indians so start with a mild spice and increase."

"Best Indian food right around the corner: Saffron restaurant is walking distance from my house and I didn’t know about it although it hasn’t ben opened for more than 4 months. In a nutshell, we had our best Indian meal in the past 4 years. Everything was great: Shimp chilli, Daal Makhani, Saffron prawn Kabab Masala, Jamene Mahi Mahi etc… We are so fortunate to have a such a great Indian restaurant so close to our home in Pinecrest. We will definitely go back."

"My family today tried the weekend brunch buffet and was blown away by the aromas and variety. It is hard to find a decent Indian restaurant, much less a buffet. Himalayan not only offers fresh garlic naan, but also cans and parathas! They also offer a variety of vegetarian and egg/meat dishes, including chicken and vegetable cures, beans/eggplant stews, Pakoras and wings. The pages include a variety of Chutneys and Rita. Today dessert contains fresh watermelons, banana pudding, jalebi, gulab jamun and fruit cocktail. Masala chai and mango leti were also provided. Each dish had the perfect amount of spices and tasted very authentic! My personal favorites were cans, chicken biryani, chicken curry and eggplant roasts. The new owner is beautiful and very proud of the authenticity and quality of its buffet menu. We are so happy to find an Indian buffet option and cannot wait to come back!"

"I am not one of those people who walk into a restaurant close to closing. I don’t even like coming in with less than a couple hours before closing. I inadvertently walked into the Albert an hour before the kitchen closed (the bar is open later). I offered to leave once I realized the time, but the hostesses were very welcoming and encouraged me to stay. I did stay and told my server, Liz V, I would be quick. She was so nice and didn’t rush me at all! She was super personable and gave me great recommendations. I had the ravioletti, made with braised short rib, truffles, cacio e Pepe, and candied walnuts. It was delicious! But it’s a fairly small portion. That’s why I ordered a side of Brussels sprouts with Parmesan and mushrooms with chili and herb crumbs. The ravioletti was rich and scrumptious. The mushrooms were savory and spicy. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and smoky. This was more than enough food! I had a couple of delicious cocktails. The noethern lights (vodka, elder flower, lemon, chamomile). And Quixote (tequila, chambord, lime, ginger). Both were refreshing, but the Quixote was moodier and more interesting. I would choose it over the other. This spot is mostly Italian. They have several delicious looking pasta dishes—tagliatelle, gnocchi, risotto, and much more. All appear to be creative and full of flavor, and I can’t wait to try them again. They also have salmon, pork, chicken, and steak dishes. I didn’t try the dessert menu, but it also looks killer. I have a stay booked here in a couple of weeks and looking forward to trying out this hip hotel, eating more tasty food, and sipping more sophisticated cocktails!"
