"I 'm still not sure how I feel about this place... let 's dive in. My buddy Gustavo was in town and wanted to have some lunch so we figured let 's go to Marietta... they have a little bit of everything . I wanted some Korean so I suggested BIG JOY, their menu looks delicious! When I arrived Gustavo was already there and he asked you look lost... you OK? , I said yes... but I thought we were about to eat Korean food... this looks... Brazilian? . Sure enough, Big Joy used to be a Korean location but got taken over by this Brazilian restaurant and I guess they didn 't bother with changing the name or much of the inside, just their menu. We are already there, might as well check out this place. I didn 't recognize much on their menu so I asked for a salmon and Gustavo asked for a steak. We both wanted appetizers so we ordered these things that said BRAZILIAN BITES, I got chicken and beef while Gustavo ordered the cheese. The language barrier was difficult, and that 's coming from two guys that speak Spanish!! We had a hard time understanding our waitress and she had a hard time understanding us but we got through it. Gustavo never got his cheese bites but he didn 't get charged for them either and we were fine with this because the chicken and beef were plenty. Think of like a delicious hush puppy except they are filled with a tasty beef or chicken, that 's what these were. Fried very well and paired well with the spicy/fruity tasting sauce they came with. Gustavo 's steak and eggs looked amazing and for $13 he said he would consider coming back for it. I think he got 3 pieces of steak that were cooked well and marinated perfectly. The rice and beans were a good compliment to the steak along with the fried egg. I ordered the Salmon which caught my eye because it said it came in a passion fruit sauce and passion fruit juice is one of my favorite drinks. Although you get more for your money with the steak the salmon with rice and black beaks and broccoli was delicious!! That passion fruit sauce went perfectly with the salmon, rice and black beans. I could have done away without the broccoli as it was just steamed, nothing special. As we were finishing up and I start looking around, I noticed I didn 't see a health score... so I ask my waitress what is your health score rating? but she didn 't understand me after a few attempts so she said boss pointed at the kitchen and walked away. She came back with a gentlemen who asked how he could help me, so I said just wondering what your health score is , which he replied health score? . I said yes, what is your health score? .... he finally said no health score here and started walking away.... OKEY DOKEY... I thought I enjoyed your meal very much, everything was delicious but I hope I don 't get sick of this.... . My question would be, would you go back to a location that was delicious but has no health score or any knowledge of what a health score is? I 'm tempted to say yes... yes I would because their food was great, but I don 't think I could. Let me know if you stop by this location and try them out!! If they have a health score please let me know so I can pay them a visit again. EDIT: Their salad was NASTY... the lettuce tasted nasty and whatever was in it was nasty... never again!!"

"Refined, sophisticated and calculated. A perfect 5 star place. Everything is executed here with precision. It was a great way to end the restaurant sampling year of 2008. We really wish that we had come here the night before instead of going to Ame. The food here is way better executed. Food: 5 stars They cook their food here with respect to the ingredients’ integrity. The best food comes from the best ingredients, and these talented chefs understand. We had the tartar, chicken wings, trout, ramen, stone pot rice and chocolate brioche and plum cookies, accompanied by a great bottle of Sancere. Tartar was subtle and delicious, and came with the most beautiful romaine hearts I’ve ever seen. They were so fresh and good, even better than my beloved gem lettuce. The chicken was fried to perfection. The skin was thin and crisp and the meat was tender. It was not greasy at all and I loved it (I hardly ever like fried chicken wings. The trout was grilled and poached to perfection, heavenly sitting in a perfectly harmonious broth of dashi, soy and others. The ramen was bold and the stone pot rice was really the best Korean food I’ve ever had. Beverage Program: 5 stars This is an intimate restaurant with a little shy of 50 seats. It makes a great sense for them to have a focused wine, sake, infused soju and beer list, and their list is wonderful. The Sancere half bottle we picked paired wonderfully with everything we had. It was a great sav blanc with a lot of fruit and structure. Also a great non-alcoholic selection with fine teas and other non-alcoholic beverages. I would love to try the infused soju next time. The entire list is very focused and composed with such class. Service: 5 stars The service style here is casual, but based on fine dining basics. Knowledgeable, warm, caring and not intrusive. Really no complaints here. Atmosphere/Decor: 5 stars This place is beautiful. The space is very well designed. The paintings on the wall are very tasteful but urban hip. The lighting is bright, yet carefully spotted at right places to create intimacy. The whole wood natural motif is just stunningly beautiful, and you can especially enjoy that in their gorgeous bathroom and the bar. Yes the bathroom sink has pebbles on the bottom covered by beautiful clear silicon. The way they placed the large screen TV is so tasteful and it will never make the bar look dive. The owners said that they did everything on their own. They are true artists both culinary and interior! Note: Monday night all the wine bottles are 50% off! (That’s how we got to the Sancere! and they are open late on some nights I heard. Ramen and Neman Ranch burger sounds like the ultimate after work restaurant industry people hang out! Namu will have my absolute devotion from now on."
