"My wife and I were just a little late for our reservation, but within their grace period, due to an unexpected work call, so we skipped appetizers and went straight to our meal. The food experience was mixed. The lasagna and vegetables were excellent and the other entrees were average. The drinks were all below average. Our check arrived at the same time as dessert. As soon as we finished dessert, a hostess came by and asked if we needed anything else. We told her that we were fine. My wife could see her peering back to see if we were leaving. When we didn’t leave within the next 2 minutes, a manager came over and politely said that “we have a problem.” He then informed us that there was another couple that had been waiting for a table downstairs and that they needed our table. He reminded me that we had been late for our reservation and offered to buy us drinks downstairs. We declined and just left without incident. So after having just spent $166 on a meal and drinks for two, we were asked to leave a restaurant for the first time ever. That is not the type of experience that makes us want to return."
