"I would recommend J.Alexanders but not based on this experience. Here are the reasons why: We indicated on our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday but it was never acknowledged by the host or server. The service was slow and almost never saw our server when we did, he was not friendly at all. There was a problem with my ribeye being tough so I asked to exchange it with another one. The manager came out and explained understandably that if I got another ribeye, it would be cut from the same piece of beef so recommended I get something different. However, my new order must have been lost because my husband finished his meal and we still hadn't seen or heard from our server. Finally we asked another server to find our waiter. When he returned, we let him know that we had decided to not wait any longer for the new order. He never apologized for or acknowledged the poor service. He promptly brought the bill but we weren't thanked for our patience or patronage. Because we've dined here many times before, we know this is not a typical experience, but it will probably be a while before we are willing to try it again"
