"Very hospitable, spoke to the young lady who took my order and had informed me about the phone before my visit, what was available, prices and so on. I am from NC and lived there a majority of my life. With the best BBQ manufacturers in the world and with a name like Old Carolina, I expected at least something comparable. It was spectacular, the smell in the air of the restaurant was an amazing addition to the atmosphere of the facility and the friendly demeanor of the staff really helped. On food, I ordered for $14 a two meat plate that I baked beans, Mac's cheese, and they give a side of corn bread. The meat was pulled pork. It is served dry and they have a sauce bar where you can choose your own sauce. I'm from Piedmont when I saw there was a sauce that claimed the name I had to try. I wasn't disappointed by the smallest, the meat was cooked very well, you can really say that they were in the process of a 12 hours smoke, the sauce tasted like at home. I have lived in OH for two years and can say faithfully that this was the best $14 I have spent in my time in OH on food so far. I would highly recommend if you want a good NC style BBQ to give this restaurant a shot. I forgot to make a picture of my meal before, but could not help me dig right in."
