"Nice place. On an excursion to Des Moines stopped here afterwards. I had the bourbon bacon on Texas toast. For variety I got the jalapeno creamed corn. That was good. Thick bacon strips. I could taste the bourbon flavor. Jethro has a smattering of sauces. I tried three to see what went best with the bacon. The hot sauce wasn't too hot actually but tasted fine. There was a Jethros sauce that was ok too. I liked the Carolina sauce best. The jalapeno creamed corn was a winner. Little bit of heat in corn. There seemed to be some cheesiness in the cream. Waitress was very attentive. While I didn't have any looked like a good selection of beers too. Another interesting item that I didn't try was the Happie drink. First restaurant in Iowa to offer a CBD drink... Fun atmosphere. Music from the 80s."

"I simply loved this place Melissa and her trainee Jess was just lovely people to take our order for a group of 7. They were attentive and had the biggest warmest smile on their faces. For a service member in the army this place was a great spot to unwind and have a great steak. Melissa said this place was famous for steaks that are so tender you can cut them with a butter knife!, let me tell you they were not lying. Thanks Melissa and Jess for the wonderful dinning experience!"

"The concept is fairly cool. An aquarium that also serves as a bar.However, the owner/bartender treats it as his own personal drinking binge.After witnessing him yelling at patrons for putting their glasses down on the bar (which is also the aquarium) and kicking one lone guy a totally benign and lonesome guy) out…... Seriously? That’s ridiculous. It’s the bar where people put their glasses down.The bartender/owner/heckler also tends to insult people who are by themselves. He’s pretty vicious and tries to play it off as “all in good fun”. No, it’s mean-spirited and he seems to have problems. He has a group of friends that show up and he enlists them to also join in. It’s pretty sad.He also tends to over indulge himself and patrons in libations and then insult them and make them feel awkward for even being there.I’ve been to this establishment on several occasions and it’s just painful.Please avoid this place or at least be on guard.Downtown Ottawa has many other establishments that are not exactly as hipster but way less offensive."

"Went to Hartford for a show. Never tried Dish so we went in. It was very busy but found room at the dessert bar, yes, the dessert bar. Watch the dessert get made..yum!..Had time for a drink and some apps, so we tried the calamari and the ahi tuna trio. Both were delicious! Calamari came with a sauce that had a little heat not to hot) and the tuna was cooked perfectly. My husband especially loved the wasabi mashed potatoes under one of the tuna steaks. It was fun considering how busy it was."

"I went for dinner on Friday the 13th, 2023. The menu was missing prices for most items, which was frustrating. I had to send back the potatoes three times because they were cold and the butter wouldn’t even melt on them! The staff mentioned they were new, but that didn’t excuse the poor experience. This wasn’t our first disappointing visit. Next time, we’ll be driving to Chillicothe for better quality overall."

"We waited outside in our car and they brought the food out to us. It was secured in a brown paper bag and the top was stapled. We brought it home and eager to open the bag. I was surprised to see utensils, napkins and even plates! Each dish was in a foil tin on top of a plate and that's how it was stacked."
