"Only ordered from there, haven’t dined inside but it looks cute with mini diner-style booths! The chicken Caesar salad is the best I’ve had and trying it sparked off a Caesar (salad) obsession. Their fries- both normal and truffle- are beautiful. Reasonable prices, rather large portions. Great location for a bit of shopping too!"

"Best food ever. Steaks are perfect! The atmosphere is so amazing. The red napkins complement the restaurant. The staff there makes everybody feel welcomed. The bar menu has an amazing skirt steak sandwich. And the baked clams are amazing. Try the Cajun calamari it’s to die for! The cowboy ribeye is very good! Along with their home made cream spinach and potato puffs! Love it there. Can’t wait to go back!!!!!!"

"I?ve been coming here since the pandemic and I?m upset that I wasn?t coming here before. Everyone here is so nice including the owner who is always helpful. The location is convenient and they have plenty of parking. The food is always fresh and the mimosas are amazing. Give this diner a try because they are worth it. Especially in these times everyone is welcome."

"It's been a while since my last visit to this restaurant. I had a craving for garlic shrimp, and I remembered how delicious it was last time I was here, which was about 30 years ago. The service was fast and the shrimp was just as tasty as I remembered."

"If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. This small middle eastern cafe style restaurant sits hidden in an unassuming street of the city. I practically had to walk up to see it, but once inside, the cozy decor and friendly staff made me feel right at home. I stopped by hummus kitchen half starved on the day of a snowstorm. The waitress, a friendly young vegan woman, rushed to bring me water and a cup of hot spiced cider to warm me up. The menu is an interactive affair presented on an iPad. It has a large variety of Turkish-style dishes. Vegan dishes are clearly labeled. For $17 one picks 3 dishes, such as hummus, babaganoush, falafel, etc and they come in generous portion with an amazing whole wheat pita bread that melts in your mouth. I mentioned I was half starved, so I ordered 6 dishes and could obviously not finish them (Leftovers for dinner were almost as good as lunch). The waitress, who was incredibly sweet and attentive throughout—recommending dishes, asking if I was enjoying the food or needed anything else—recommended this raspberry and coconut cream dessert. However, I was pretty full and am not a big fan of fruit compote type things, so I declined and asked for the check. As I was signing a young man, who I take to be the owner or manager, kindly asked me if I had three minutes to spare. When I replied that I did, he brought me out a dessert he said he wanted me to try. This was a generous portion of the most amazing chocolate mousse—all vegan—I have had in my life. It was topped with whipped cream and shredded coconut flakes. Pure ambrosia! My only regret: discovering this place on my last day in New York City. Absolutely amazing! Just the service makes it worth it. Highly recommend."

"Wow! This local diner is top-notch! Suzie is incredible, and the rest of the employees are fantastic. The food is homemade and delicious. They really go above and beyond to take care of their customers and their children. I also noticed that everyone who walked through the door was treated with respect. The service here is top quality."

"The food is the worst. They’re completely nasty. They serve old food to you. Lamb old and overcooked, the hot sauce smelled so sour and the white sauce was slimy. I believe these people are intentionally nasty and expect for you to not notice in hopes you will eat their food. They are nasty nasty nastiest place to ever get your food from. The health department needs to get rid of them. Pure evil horrible beings"

"Cholanad is the best kept secret in Chapel Hill. The food is outstanding, service is wonderful, the ambiance is diverse. I have been here with a large group of friends and sat outside, on a first date in a quiet corner, at the bar to watch a game, and with my family of multiple generations. This is my favorite restaurant in Chapel Hill, mostly because of the food. And dedicated parking!"

"The Skylark diner is something that can catch someone's eye from both ways on route one. It is a diner reimagined from the outside and inside. I felt that I went back in time but also was seated in something way more unique than a regular diner. When you walk in the high ceilings catch your eye and can see that the inside build is for many many people, compared to tradition diners. The time and date I went there was no rush and so i was able to get seated quickly and the food came out shortly after we ordered. I had gotten the cinnamon apple crepe, which came with a side of whip crème. The food was good the crepe was warm which meant it was fresh and it was not overly sweet. Our waiter was nice and attended all our questions and needs. I saw that they had a lot of staff waiting that day which was nice to see how busy it gets."

"This was truly the worst dining experience of my life, and I dine out a lot. To be fair, it was their Easter buffet, not the usual dining, so your results may vary. Upon entering, we were barely greeted but brought to our large table. It was a table for eight though we were a party of four, so it was very awkward but compared to the food, that part was nothing. Despite it being an 11am reservation, this was not brunch food but rather only dinner type of food. Everything looked incredibly unappetizing. The vegetables were green beans and corn that had to have been from cans. They were swimming in a weird liquid and looked inedible. There was mashed potatoes and stuffing that seemed ok, along with turkey, some sort of pulled beef, and possibly ham. There were two kinds of gravy, both congealed looking despite it being the first reservation of the day. I tried the turkey, beef, potatoes, stuffing, and the light gravy. The potatoes and stuffing were ok, the meat was exceedingly dry. I could barely cut the turkey. There was also fruit salad which was partially frozen yet mushy at the same time. My family, who usually will eat any dessert item, did not find the selection appealing. Even the rolls were bad. The salad was iceberg lettuce plus a bunch of difficult to identify mayo-soaked slaws of various sorts. Even the coffee was undrinkable. They brought us the check almost immediately and included an automatic gratuity that was not advertised. After not eating more than a few bites of anything, we paid the check and left. It was clear that we were very dissatisfied, yet no one inquired a single time. The manager who barely greeted us was at the door as we left and said nothing, not even a goodbye. This cost us $115 for a few bites of mashed potatoes, a couple of dry rolls, and some flat soda for my daughter. The fact that no one inquired as to our experience was definitely the worst part."

"Google tells me the last time I was here, was 4 years ago. I can't believe I waited so long to come back This place is great. We started out with the chefs special blackened ahi tuna, I would've sworn we received a double portion, it was huge and delicious. We both had French onion soup and massive salads. Our waitress was wonderful and definitely look forward to coming back again soon."
