"I’m a big fan of Lebanese food from years spent calling on Toledo accounts. Toledo is the US home to Lebanese cuisine in my mind and Byblos is right at the top. Food-wise, Mary’z reminded me of Byblos. Hummus was outstanding, falafel sandwich included Lebanese pickle and radish, as I’ve come to like it. Taboulah was more tomato and citrus than barely and parsley, yum. The pitas were a bit wimpy but that’s a nitpick. They were supposed to allow bringing in wine with a corkage which we did, bringing in a fine bottle of aged Turley Petite Syrah. But I noticed others bringing in or bottles of fighting varietals and it made sense when they didn’t charge the corkage. Those folks were taking advantage of the fact that they hadn’t been charging corkage during the time when their wine and beer license was being approved. That happened last week and these folks either didn’t know or didn’t care so they brought in their two-buck Chuck despite there being multiple bottles of fairly priced, similar wines on the menu. Then I heard the manager was going to stop letting people bring in wine. No!!!! Fools abusing a corkage policy in-flux by bringing in wines is just ruining it for the people who have cellars and don’t mind paying corkage to have the privilege of using their cellar in this crazy state which forbids corkage when a full-liquor license is granted, even if the proprietor is okay with it. I hope Mary’z doesn’t go the no outside wine route. Rant aside, we will certainly return. I give it thumbs up. Llama Cafe may be looking at hard times with Mary’z down the street."

"I’m hooked! Tried this place for the first time yesterday and was so happy with our experience. We ordered in and our food arrived hot and fresh. I got the kafta Kebab with vermicelli rice, Greek salad and regular hummus. The rice and meat was so delicious and completely satisfied my craving for Mediterranean food. The salad had feta, black olives and a big chunk of tomato. The hummus was amazing, just the perfect blend of flavor and seasonings. I ate it mixed with the rice and meat, and of course with the pita breads that came with our order, which were also delicious and they were huge portions! Plenty of bread to eat with the hummus. It was a great meal and will definitely become one of my go to spots for great food!"

"I mostly went for the lamb leg, and it was delicious. Not dried and it was really soft. (The only issue was the woman serving them, she had such a bad attitude and her face expression was as if you were asking her for free food, so that was the CON. The rest of the food was okay to ME. I am sure it is good for other people, but it was not really much of my taste, but it definitely looked like fresh food. Other people seemed to be enjoying their food so it is more of whatever you like. Other than that, the place looked clean and a plus is thet they have tje machine for ice cream (which I did not get to eat because I was full LOL, but my daughter did get some and she enjoyed it). So, would I go back? Yes, I would!"

"AMAZING MED BUFFET- This buffet is top-notch. The selection is extensive and well-prepared. The Naan bread was freshly baked, and everything else was excellent. The salad selection was abundant and fresh. This buffet is a much better alternative to Chinese Buffets."

"Last evening, we went to a Mediterranean restaurant called as Dimassis 's in Richardson which is around 10 miles away from my home.<br/ <br/ Mediterranean cuisine is mostly famous for its signature dishes like hummus, falafel, a wide array of salads and ofcourse the lamb shanks.<br/ This place is no different. May be the only thing that makes it stand out in the crowd of such places is the quality of chicken dishes. Believe me, there are too many Mediterranean restaurants in and around Dallas. Because of the huge Arab n Mediterranean population. Interesting point to note is, such places are frequented by desis and Americans as well these days. Americans find it palatable because the dishes are bit low on spices and desis because... Oh! We are an inquisitive lot, we love to try out any alien cuisine that 's worth eating! Btw, I did try sushi couple of months back and shall write about that experience another day!<br/ Ok, so all the dishes were good. The only let down was the fried chicken which was not as succulent as it should have been. My roomie cooks better fried chicken than them. They had pizzas too, as a part of the buffet. Not sure why though! It dilutes the whole essence of the meal, if you ask me. May be they wanted to appeal to a wider audience. The Baklava which is the quintessential Mediterranean desert was better than average. The best ever baklava that I had was at 'Cafe Istanbul ' (Shops at legacy). I am yet to jot down a review on that! Food was heavenly there.<br/ <br/ <br/ As you can see in the above pic, the ambience and décor is nothing to talk about. Typical diner. Monotonous seating arrangement. I don 't know why, I am a big fan of table cloths. .A restaurant will always earn brownie points from me, if it has table cloth. No such frills here, sadly. For 13 USD per person, at least they could have invested a little bit on the 'Frills '.<br/ <br/ <br/ I think, I should stop going for buffets, it 's such a waste. I can hardly taste a few items and I am full and so I cannot do justice to the concept itself. Anyways, this is it for now. Time for second coffee of the day...ahhh! I love Saturday mornings!
