"since the move to pittsburgh I'm looking for a good pizza place. no open for local, but most pizza places here are below average. After living in new haven, philly, boston, montreal, I always found a first-class South Italy cake. After some try in individual restaurants I decided to try anthony’s coal fired pizza. I was hesitant because I'm hesitant at chain restaurants. I didn’t know that anthony’s, like pepe’s in new haven, is extended and thus is a limited chain. so it is not even comparable to a place like papa john’s or domino’s. the pizza is incredible. it is very well boiled (not boiled), the sauce is not too sweet (in contrast to some local places), the ingredients are fresh quality, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. this is our go-to pizza place, and I would recommend everything on the menu. we drive 25 minutes for this pizza, probably 10 pizzerias on the way."
