"our dinner tonight at massimo was amazing! the restaurant was busy when we arrived, so we had a ten minute waiting time on our reserved table. we have hanged on the bar and enjoyed an awesome apple wine sangria (high recommended) until our table was finished. our server melissa was welcoming, charming and knowledgeable about the menus and wine menus. we started with the feige and gorgonzola flat brot appetizer and it was from this world. When I put the eyes on the broth and cheese, melissa said she would like to bring me a tasting of the Parmesan cheese! so good! my friend and I shared the prosciutto wrapped salmon over risotto and pumpkin ravioli. eating was so excellent that we were mentally sad that we couldn't finish everything. a bottle of wein and cannolis later we were very impressed and planned our next trip in the restaurant. I recommend you to go to Massimo and ask melissa if they want a server that is above the top!"

"Please don’t order the Hawaiian pizza. It was our first visit so I can’t leave a solid review on the rest of the food but I will say that the Hawaiian pizza was a pile of minced ham reminiscent of vomit on dough. My husband was actually sick in the bathroom after a bite. I did see other pizzas being brought to different tables and they looked delicious. I am a bit disturbed by our experience I felt the need to share considering I was told people very much enjoy this raw mince on dough. I even requested it to be cooked longer which made no difference. I will say the appetizers were good so this is not a reflection on the entirety of this establishment. Just please do not order Hawaiian pizza until they get it right.Wings and apps weren’t bad at all and I support any local businesses the best I can but this was just an experience I can’t forget.The reviews for this place are good so please give them a shot. Just don’t go Hawaiian!"

"Cute little place trying to add some Italian authenticity to Silver Lake. The sauces are quite good but the pasta is questionable. My observation is they par-cook the pasta and then finish it off when an order comes up. The papardelle we ordered was somewhat shriveled with puckered edges and didn't appear to be fresh cooked. The restaurant is a good value and we will come back again to try other dishes"

"I've been meaning to come here for awhile now, and finally did so to celebrate my 4th anniversary with my husband. The atmosphere was elegant without being stuffy, the staff was helpful and welcoming without being intrusive, and the food was simply outstanding. We opted for the specials this evening (haddock and shrimp in a garlic cream sauce for me, veal chop with mushrooms in a marsala sauce for him; plus the sweet pea ravioli as an appetizer) and couldn't have been happier. The servings were generous, the flavors were harmonious, and the bottle of wine our server suggested was just right. We decided that we'd like to come back more frequently rather than waiting for a special occasion. But I feel like if we know we'll be enjoying a meal like this, that makes it a special occasion in itself! Thank you for making our special day extra nice. And we will see you soon!"

"We had our 5th anniversary dinner here last night. The food was excellent, wine, ambience and service were top notch. Our server Victoria was awesome. Personable, attentive and funny. She really helped make our experience a great one. Thank you to all the Chefs for cooking a delicious, well rounded meal. The mushroom risotto and the branzino were cooked perfectly. Would recommend to anyone. Ps. The only small note I have, is that I mentioned it was our 5th anniversary when booking. A couple glasses of Prosecco and a note would have been the icing on the cake. Besides that, everything was perfect. Thank you La Vecchia"

"We had dinner at J. Domenick’s last evening with family from CT. Previously we have always had a delicious meal and great service here. We were very dissalojnted with our food last evening. My crabmeat stuffed filet of sole tasted very fishy along with the so called crab meat stuffing hardly containing any crabmeat, mainly bread crumbs. I barely got through a quarter of the meal and wouldn’t eat anymore and spoke to the waitress about this. Another family member had the stuffed crab meat shrimp dish and again the shrimp was like rubber with no crab meat in the stuffing. A third family member had veal parmigiana dinner and said the tomato sauce was very watery, not good for the money that we were paying Unfortunately the quality of the food was not up to our expectations at all, which disappointed us as long time customers of J. Domenick’s. We were also surprised that a Manager didn’t even come out to apologize for the issue of our food."
