"the new old woman hostess is horrible at her job. it was busy tonight which i completely understand but my family and i have been coming here for YEARS. im a young girl, i got there before my dad i asked her for a table for 3. she said “well do you have a reservation?” and then proceeded to roll her eyes and shrug her shoulders when i told her no. 5 plus years i’ve never made a reservation also being that im willing to wait. kathy the owner came out and the old woman proceeded to point to the people behind me and skip me and ignore me and kathy was like wait what about her? meaning me. then it got so much more packed so many more people came the old woman had went and hid in the back on purpose. when she came back out finally after 20 minutes, i asked her if there was a list or something because again i was willing to wait. she SCREAMS and says “I HAVE TO HELP RESERVATIONS FIRST” like learn to talk to PAYING customers. then my father gets there, she realizes hes friends with the owner she made up a lie that the WHOLE time she thought the owner was helping me because she knows she was useless and horrible towards me. the customers behind me noticed what was going on and asked me if i was okay because she was just that awful. that woman should not have a job there, and im not even mad about it being too busy or having to wait, thats understandable. i’m mad that she has 0 class and treats customers so terribly. We ended up walking out because of how poorly she treated the guests."

"My husband and I have birthdays two days apart so we decided to have an early dinner at Pearl East in Manhasset, NY. Unfortunately, the hostess at the front desk (who I’ve never seen before) was rude and insisted on seating us at a small table when I asked if we could be seated at a larger table. Our plates were hanging over the edge of the table. This is the first time we were denied a larger table and there were only four other people dining in the restaurant. Shortly after we were seated, two women came in and asked for a larger table; and yes, they were accommodated. Our Server was attentive but the hostess’s lack of professionalism put a damper on our meal."

"Good place to get a drink and probably skip the food. Pretzel is not so good to soft and crust is not crispy. I tried better. Place this place is large and can be for big parties. There's a party area in the back, but it doesn't even see it. The tables are huge and can be occupied after 1 or 2 hours. Food is dry and taste is missing. Or that could be like German food, but I tried it in Berlin and Brooklyn. The pork pest is too dry and without taste. You should change the recipe as it is better. Pretzel is a disappointment. We have everything we eat to go for a late evening snack. You make a lot of drunken food. Service is the best part. You're so friendly and quick with the food. I didn't have to wait long for our check. Summary is worth a visit and usually come to be honest for the beer."

"Our experience started with our hostess helping us to a better table to accommodate our elderly parents. Thank you! It was very busy and our food was delayed. Our waiter, Benjamin kept us updated on our order. At one point he brought edamame for our table. He kept us laughing and made the very best of a difficult situation. My in-laws can’t wait to return. The entire Crate team did a great job. The food was wonderful as well!"

"This is a great local restaurant. The servers are friendly and the atmosphere is very laid back. The staff is small so you'll need to have patience with them as they are cleaning, taking orders, etc. You don't havs to rush to finish your plates; you can sit and have extended conversations. It's nice to be able to take your time and eat and talk. Now the food was flavorful but not salty and the portions were very generous. Apparently everything is made on the premises. It tastes like home cooked food. I'll definitely visit again!"

"A cute little restaurant bar with a nice out door dining. Lovely staff people who are super nice and sweet, however, I'm not a big fan of their fish and chips. Their fries are great, no salt and freshly cooked but the fish was too greasy and did not taste that good. I had to peel off the deep fried skin since it was very oily and did not stick to the fish very well. I wouldn't recommend the dish in the restaurant, I'd try something else.:"
