I hate it when you order from somewhere, it takes an hour plus and the food is cold. "Scallion Pancakes were a large portion but they were very overcooked and oily. Crab Rangoon was good. The Yat Gaw Mein soup was a little bland but it still tasted good and I liked that it was not salty. The Mango Chicken was very good, I liked it a lot. I cannot say the same for the Honey Walnut Shrimp, it had too much oily breading and the sauce was watery. The egg rolls were also very oily. I would order the Mango Chicken and soup again, but I dont think I will order any other fried items in the future."

"My family and I have been ordering from Hunan Star for over 8 years and not one time have we been disappointed! Their food is always served hot and yummy! Hands down the best Chinese/Asian food in town! If you ever get tired of just doing take-out, I’d recommend actually dining in! The service is amazing and we never leave hungry. "This restaurant was very close to my hotel where I was staying in New York, and thus I had taken parcels from this place couple of times. The restaurant is kind of no-nonsense, with a very cheap price tags. At $6 one can get four pieces of crispy fried chickens with good amount of fried rice. Service time is really quick, even during the peak time too. Food is very average, to say the truth. If you like spicy food, you may find this place suitable to your needs.<br/ <br/ Overall, a nice budget place for some quick bites."

"Very disappointed. I spend about $300 a month on take out from this location. I do ask for dishes prepared a certain way. Sometimes they are spot on, other times not so much. I have had the occasional hiccup on wrong items placed in my order or items not prepared as requested, and I have dealt with it. This time it was a bit much, given the increased prices in take out these days. Recently I was given an incorrect item that was over $10. I live over 15 minutes away. I had to drive back, return the wrong item and all I was offered was an apology and a free egg roll. I was insulted by the offer. I have worked in retail services for 4 decades. If I get a customer order wrong, I would minimally offer a credit for the item (whether the customer keeps the wrong item or returns it), or give them a courtesy gift card or perhaps a discount on a future order. I received nothing but sorry. This tells me the customer is less important than the bottom line. It forces me to rethink where I spend my money on take out. This bad experience could have been turned around if the location had done the right thing and bore the cost of the mistake instead of expecting me to suck it up and accept the wasted gas and time to return it."

"Food was excellent. I observed when I was waiting for my good, a homeless person came into China chef and asked me for a few dollars to buy some food. I could not accommodate him. The owner heard his request and my unfortunate answer so she gave the homeless guy a meal for free. I was pleased by her charity. The manager who was also there explained to me the restaurants philosophy of positive community outreach and added that We see the community members not as justcustomers, but as family. And if the free food that we give out isn 't in China Chef 's budget that we will take money out of our own pocket to feed somebody. With that attitude and philosophy, I would highly recommend China Chef to anyonelooking for a good place to eat."

"The lady at the front was rude and definitely looked like she hates working there the food was a regular ok thr flavor wasn't good,not worth the drive or the time,the lady also handled cash,my card and scratched her nose enough times for me to make note of it in my review then went to the back and handled the food without washing her hands,also no gloves or masks by the cook or the front lady.
