"The first thing we noticed is that the online menu is much different than their actual in-restaurant menu, very much reduced. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she said the online menu was being worked on...fair enough... Also, the online site said it was one of the few restaurants that did not have a corkage charge...so we brought a bottle of wine. The waitress told us that there is a corkage charge of $25 per bottle...so we didn't open our bottle and ordered a martini and a glass of wine. When I asked about Happy Hour, I was told that it was from 8pm-10pm...then was told that they normally close up about 830pm on weeknights...sheesh... The martini was served in the smallest martini glass I've ever seen and they appeared to forget about the glass of wine, we received that about 20 minutes later, well into our appetizers. The sauce on my pizza was not as tasty as the one I recalled from a previous visit several months prior...but could that have been the result of our increasing disappointment in the place? Maybe... I had mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday in our reservation but no mention was made of it by the concierge or the wait staff...it just wasn't important to them I guess. We also noticed that there were only about 6 people in our half of the restaurant. When we asked why so few, we were told it was still early and it was only Thursday....we're thinking there are other reasons, some mentioned above, that may account for the lack of patrons. We wish the biz well because we don't want any to suffer but sometimes a restaurant is responsible for it's own condition and popularity. I'm afraid we'll choose a different pre-show restaurant next time."

"First, when I made the reservation the indication on Open Table was that there was limited availability. As soon as I made the reservation, I received a phone call from the restaurant that very aggressively wanted to make sure that I was sure I would be able to make it and that I would be there on time. They did make me aware that there was a limited menu, however they could not tell me what was on the menu and told me I should check the write up in the local newspaper for the Best Places for dinner on Valentine 's Day for the menu. We arrived about 20 minutes early and the restaurant was basically empty. We were seated immediately. The restaurant slowly filled up over the 90 minutes that we were at our table, but nowhere near filled up to justify the limited reservation times and initial call to confirm the reservation. From there they had a limited choice of wine by the glass and the one my wife chose was $25 per glass with a very small pour. The appetizers were good. Both my wife and I got the crab cakes. The entrees were poor. I had the half smoked chicken and it was over cooked and very dry. My wife had the beef tenderloin and it was also overcooked. I got the red velvet cake for dessert and it was average. Fortunately my wife got the creme brulee and it was good so we ended on a fairly positive note. Big disappointment for what you would expect from a high end hotel restaurant and a Valentine 's Day dinner."

"My wife and I visited for the first time on a Saturday evening. We were attracted by a special menu run in conjunction with a local restaurant group.Cudos to our server, a pleasant little southern belle by the name of Angela. She was very busy with tables spread out between the main dining area, a larger party room and the patio. Running around like a puppy chasing its tail she managed to keep up with all of her tables admirably. She answered all of our questions in good time. I will make sure to ask for her ifwhen we visit again. The food was mostly very good to excellent. I had the Crawfish Poutine, a tasso gravy loaded with crawfish and andouille and crispy edged sunny side up eggs over nice crispy fries. My wife started with the butternut squash soup and followed with the salmon over leekonion grits. The soup was a little spicy but very tasty. The ice creams were house made and very tasty. I would only have a few criticisms to offer. If you are going to call something a wedge salad it should be an iceberg wedge, not a chunk of bibb lettuce. It should also have grape tomatoes and the balsamic glaze. The brussels sprouts we ordered were tasty but woefully under cooked, almost impossible to chew. One other thing: The noise level in the room was ridiculous. We had a hard time conversing across the table. They would benefit from some sound absorbing materials lower on the walls to cut down on the ambient volume. Based on the food and service alone I would give the restaurant a to a The sound detracted mightily from the experience hence the star rating"
