"After eating here at The Stinking Rose ? I feel like a million bucks! Garlic is one of the top rated and natural antioxidants, anti inflammatory and much much more beneficial factors. Had the rib-eye steak oozing with garlic. So tasty. Also had the garlic ice cream which was surprisingly good. Not a fan of garlic? No problem as they do have dishes that are garlic free. They’ve also moved since I last came here. Love the new spot. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant. If one would like to eat healthy and live longer, it won’t be because you’ve been bitten by a vampire, nope not here"

"It was a great environment, with a quiet atmosphere and semicasual setting. I felt like this could be fancy for a date but could also be casual with friends. I had the beef potstickers which were amazing and timely. For the main course I had the gnocchi which was perfectly cooked and had really fresh, flavorful vegetables in the dish. To finish off the night, I ordered the creme brulee with a herbal tea. Overall, the meal felt almost home cooked and every aspect of it was great, even the dish presentation. Highly recommend for any occasion"

"Their CRAB CAKE!!! Always my favorite. The new place is really beautiful and the food is awesome as usual. I will miss the darker, more intimate place on Penn where we went often, however this one has a really nice patio as we are still observing COVID precautions. There was a lot more seafood on the new menu and only one steak (filet). No lobster tail but there were at least 4 dishes containing lobster. Even though we were the only table on the large covered patio on a Wed. night, we still got awesome service which is the norm for any of Bruce's places. We were visited by the bartender when he had a question and the chef delivered the (special request) bruleed cheesecake. The food was awesome, as usual."

"We went there about a month ago. As we walked in, we loved what we saw. A beautiful wall of wine. The hostess greeted us and as she was about to walk us to our table, she decided to answer the phone. Either she forgot what she was going to do or something, but we kind of just stayed there a bit lost until another hostess walked us to our table. Once seated, it took about 12 minutes for our server to acknowledge our table and ask us what drinks we'd like and if we wanted appetizers. We ordered a wine but surprisingly for the amount of money you're spending they didn't bring the bottle to show and taste. The appetizer and entree took a bit to come out as well along with the drinks and refills. We'd always have to wave or look for the servers or staff to help. Our waiters name was Rob/Roberto caught his name because he was mentioning to a table next to us. He was really focused on that table, seemed like it was a group of his friends because they kept talking about the night out. The other tables he was attending seemed like they were experiencing the same kind of service as us since I like to observe. Some didn't stay for long and seemed annoyed. Kind of killed the atmosphere. Also, the staff doesn't seem to communicate with each other and a bit dry. The only one that seemed attentive looked like a busser or runner and didn't catch his name. He tried to accommodate our table and the table next to us with the heaters since we were outside. We had to find our waiter in order to get the check as well in the end. He was definitely not attentive. The appetizers were not special delicacies or anything out of this world. However, the entrees such as the short rib was pure perfection. The right about of everything. The portion was good too. The truffle sauce and mash potatoes were divine. If the service was better, the rating would've been higher. But I didn't like the service."

"It seems to me that every plan that calls itself the stinking rose should really be so heavy on the garlic. Food was nothing special and something overpriced. My lasagna was just fine with the gourmet vieggies, but a little heavy on the cheese. And, well, I'm not really colliding too much garlic. I tried every dish and I couldn't say that I tasted a little extra garlic. Or something special. The fresh chopped garlic that comes with bread is divine! And the garlic olive oil is good. I think that was my favorite part of the whole meal with the roasted garlic appetizer. The decor is quite eclectic/bohemian. There are small “tennes” for lovers and first appointments. Very romantic and cozy. It's nice to say that I've been there. but I don't think I'd make too much of an effort to go back. I give him three stars for the ambience and garlic souvenirs you can buy."

"PSA: Greenbush Dine-in is back and we couldn't get excited anymore!!! (Check their website for details) They just come back to the in-person meal, and some of the staff are still a bit new, but everyone was friendly, helpful and more than accommodating. The pizza was as good as ever, easy some of the best in Madison!! Delicious food, great pizza, friendly staff and a great bar. Can't wait back!"

"Rosario is a nice place, but if you're just going for drinks, it can be a bit tough. There is not a lot of bar space. The drinks were good. We had negronis and one was a spicy negroni that was delicious with the campari flavor tempered by the spiciness. The setting is very intimate and they keep the lighting low. A nice spot for a date night. Did not get to try the food since we only had drinks. The service was really good and they were very attentive. Overall I give it a 4 only because the design of the place was cramped. But everything else was pretty good"

"This place is always a treat. The wood-fired pizza is of course a signature dish, and it does not disappoint. The pizza oven itself is something to behold, as it was crafted to bear the image of the Greek god Bacchus, with pizzas sliding in and out of his open mouth. Table service was friendly and attentive, topped off by a visit from owner Jim Scully (a great guy and lover of all things Troy). The atmosphere is rustic yet stylish. This is one of our favorite places to dine at, especially when partaking in the many downtown activities that make Troy a very unique and interesting city."
